what happened to fluffy\'s shanys...?

The same thing happened with allan c\'s chef mutant a few days ago. It wasn\'t in the top last 7 days, but when I checked his post it had 9.3 which should have placed it first. Next day it was there again. ???

If that is the cause however, we have a pretty small short-list of the potentially guilty parties, somewhere between No 5 and No 15 in the list I would imagine. No one else could give a stuff.

Yes, people do care, but as Steve said, it\'s probably the fellows at the top that are doing it, his compatriots. Personally, I couldn\'t give a flying f*** at a rolling doughnut as to whether Trov\'s mini is off the top seven, as it doesn\'t affect me in the least. To much work for not enough effect. The great painters up there beside him, however, do care.

I find it fairly odd to hear about sniping and link breaking (how would you do that anyhow ... wait, don\'t answer that ... don\'t need to know).
Not that I ever expect to be in the top of anything (gotta get my camera work together as it is ... grrr ....) but although I would be stocked to be one of the better folks here, I can\'t see how knocking someone out of the top 10 on purpose with BS stuff would help anyone with anything.
Just an observation.

it\'s cause a lot of those guys have a serious problem with their self esteem, and count everything on their cmon rating...pathetic. It happens.heho, i\'m on spot 83 at the moment, and can\'t be bloody bothered. i get a lot of snipers/hate mail etc form saddos who don\'t have anything constructive to do with their lives but put me and others down. as for me, i have a social life, and i think the forums and comments are more important than the number next to my minis. snipers are saddo losers...

uhm some of you probably got me wrong....I am not that much on CMON, and even less in the forums - as you might have noticed (no time - 4 \"jobs\", girlfriend and friends...)
and I don\'t give a wet p00p about ranking either (okay, of course it helps with comissions to be in top 50 - but I paint out of fun, if people like my miniatures that\'s a nice \"byproduct\" - if they don\'t like them, what do I care, I have to field em on the tabletop, not they )
...I just thought \"what happened?\", got my answer and a figure \"reported\" ...just wanted to mention that it was a funny \"coincidence\"...not more, not less

There are a lot of sad gits out there after all.
Deliberately trying to break a link to an image though is something else entirely.
Large, externally hosted, images get lots of reports anyways, as many dial-up users simply can\'t afford to waste large amounts of their lives waiting for huge images to load up. Hell, I have cancelled a lot of images part-way through their load, and I am on BB!
