They\'re made of a \"metal matrix\" (the way they\'re made it\'s not really an alloy) of Boron Carbide. They\'re stronger than aluminum and lighter than titanium, but are tough to work. You gum up grinding wheels super fast and it\'s tough to machine. Fun though... so i\'m really just a metal worker, but they\'ve got me doing shop matenance too.
@Joshua: Yeah, those \"green plates...\" why do they cover the copper traces anyway? i\'ve photoetched Printed Curcuit boards before and for the life of me don\'t know why the big brands always cover their traces???!
