What is the closest scale out of 1/72, 1/42 and 1/32 to the forgeworld thunderbolt pilot?

I think either 1/42 or 1/32 for aicraft would be best, not sure though.

Are you talking the 40k scale FW pilot or the aeronautica Imperialis (Or whatever it\'s called)
If you\'re talking about the epic one, then that\'s nearer 1/72 - probably even smaller... Maybe in the 90s
40k scale is somewhere between 1/35 and 1/42.
The baneblade/M1A2 kitbash I did not long ago was 1/35.

I\'m talking about the ltd edition fw thunderbolt pilot.
The main problem i am having is that i specifically need the pilot to look like he will be the right size in the cockpit, but i only have an aircraft in 1/72 to compare to.

1/72nd is way, way out. I mounted a couple of Ork flyboyz on 1/72nd Bristol Bulldogs so they could ride them like defcoptas. 1/42 is the right scale for the pilot however you\'ll probably have no end of trouble getting a decent plane that size as it isn\'t particularly popular. 1/35th is perfect for 40k as, even though the people would be 54mm compared to the 30mmish of 40k, it makes for suitably \"heroic scale\" vehicles. The 1/35th SdKfz halftracks I was using as Trukks are now quite a bit smaller than the new Ork Trukk model and I would expect a 1/35th fighter to be a bit smaller than the Thunderbolt.
1/42 is closest, but not a perfect match for Forgeworld\'s stuff. 1/35 is way too large; as mentioned by sg2009, 1/35=54mm and Forgeworld\'s stuff is smaller than normal GW scale heroic 28mm, so 1/35 just wouldn\'t look right. See if you can find any kits between 1/65 and 1/42 scale; anything in this range will be a closer fit. (By the way, 1/72=25mm.)

I think i will just take the mini down to the shop and have a compare, the owner is pretty cool so there shouldnt be any problems comparing kits.
