what is with the crazy low scores today!?!?

ive seen at least a dozen minis ranked 3-5 that deserved scores of 5-7, and even the 6-8 ranked minis seem to be drastically under rated. what is going on people?! present specific minis to even the playing field if you so choose.

Took me a while to find one I thought was underrated, but I turned up this

What i found strange is that i posted a Frodo mini and that got 5.8, but when i posted the same Frodo along with Sam and Pippin, (which in my opinion had better paint jobs than Frodo) my score is only 4.7 after 67 votes! Thats what i dont understand.???

It seems to have been that way for a while a number of threads are turning up to try and boost scores. Beats me never understood it all really ... but some really nice pieces seem to be slipping under the net...could be the speed they\'re uploading at the minute models are only spending a day or so on the first couple of pages where a lot of people look.
There seems to be a lot less votes going on. Mind you there seems to be less people logged in each time I visit. Yesterday at 1 point I think there was me Krom and Funnymouth according to the bar at the bottom of the home page.

one other thing I\'ve noticed on my most recent post is that the scores from registered is a lot better than the unregistered when usually it\'s around the same or slightly higher on the unregistered.

i have noticed ths as well alot of minis that are way better then tabletop quality getting 4\'s and 5\'s when they should be getting 7\'s just coz they arent as good as some other sevens or because people dont like the models. Rember its about the paintjob no the model

no, not hugely under rated, but typical of what ive been seeing. usually scores under 5 are rare, and most things of that quality get a 5. recently though, it seems like a large number of them have ratings less than that. ive seen minis with blobby paint get a better score than 3.5. i just selected a few, ive seen dozens like this today. there were a few more giants that were under rated too.

There definitley seems to be a trend of score going down. Is this because people are judging harder, being more petty or a glitch in the matrix or a glitch in the matrix.

Hmm I guess on Chern and Borg would know.

The thing is, theat greens one is an awkwatd looking miniand the frost giant an awful mini. I would vote 6-7, but that\'s not to say I\'m right or wrong, just of a different opinion. There are too many threads suggesting that minis need higher scores than they already have when they have clearly been voted to their current placement.

(At least to me..When i look around..eg. those woodelves, theyve got a better score even though (I think) mines better painted!

The thing is, I view a decently painted squad with extra rose-tinted specs as I\'m a very slow painter. Shockingly so really. Or at least I used to be quick but these days I do naff all. I have a great deal of respect for anyone who can put together a squad.

I\'ll admit that I too tend to be more generous if someone\'s managed to paint an entire squad to look good together, I tend to get bored after the third mini and move on to something else.
