i don\'t really know much about either, because i\'m 13 and too poor for an ipod.
ipods are overrated anyway, because you\'re paying more for the fashion of it than listening to music. i mean, a zen creative is £10 more than a 4 GB ipod nano, but can hold 20 times the song capacity. Madlol

I guess this depends on who they asked and when. I know if you went to Connecticut College on a Thursday night and asked the students you found around campus what was better, beer or Ipods, you\'d only find the students who weren\'t at the kegger anyway...

And I must say I\'ve never woken up in a strange dormroom next to a (hopefully) attractive female because of my ipod!

Beer has faced a small decline as more and more women drinkers are given more and more options in the cooler/alco-pop selections at bars and pubs.
Also, they want to seem health conscious, so they claim to drink less than they do.

It\'s not that beer drinking has gone down, Vike, it\'s just that Ipod\'s are more universally excepted. The cool people still drink while listening to tunes, but now the geeks sitting at home have something to do besides surfing for porn.

No, they are not, just cooler looking. I have a pair of Archos drives that when I bought them held about twenty times more music then an Ipod, AND was able to hold all other types of data as well, being a portable HD AND an MP3 player. I can just plug them into any computer and show everyone my vacation pics as well as listen to music.

On the down side, it was a bitch updating drivers, since at the time their website was ONLY in French! (That was about 4years ago).

EDIT: Out of curiousity I just went over to their site and it IS in Englich now, but unfortunately they no longer sell the all-in-one products it seems. There is a description about the ones I have here, and a pic/reveiw of the better one with a built-in screen for video here. Bare in mind that this was over 4 years ago, so the 6G capacity was pretty sweet back then. It looks like Ipods might actually be better now, unless someone else is making a portable HD with a built-in MP3 player.
