What is your favorite mini, and why?

Enter the url for your favorite mini of all cmon, or just the moment, then let us know why you like it i.e., it made you laugh... your jaw dropped when you saw it... keep trying to figure out what it is, but it looks cool.... hard to judge the paint job, but it\'s a cool picture...
The idea here is not to vote on the paint job, but to show what appeals to you. (I couldn\'t find the sesame street one, or the ork doing a side kick like blade, they made me lol )

My favorite (for the moment) is Firey Angel by Victoria, not because it is the top of the top 10 (and deserves to be), but because it really appeals to my affinity for dramatic use of color and movement. I can only dream of doing something this well. :wow:

My favorite is the one I am painting at the moment. Whoever/whatever happens to be \"under the brush\" is my current fav.

But for theme, my most memorable mini is the \"complete adventurer\". I think Ral Partha did this one originally, but I also believe it has been redone recently and is back in production. (I may be wrong on both counts here)

This is a tough one. I have many many favorite minis. Two that always come to my mind are Steve Buddle\'s Cadian Commissar and Mike Anderson\'s Beastman Gor. They are both so full of character. Not just the painting is great but the whole \'mood\'.
But these are really just two example ... waaaaaay too many favorite minis to chose from

Hey, Stumpkiller!

I know it sounds cheesy to pick the same mini, but Fiery Angel is also at the top of my list.

Even though I\'m not a fan of lightsourcing, this one just made my jaw drop. Let alone the fact that I\'m a Sisters of Battle fan, the stunning conversion on this just had me drooling.

I sincerely hope this NEVER goes up for auction, as I know that my purchasing (or trying to) would end my marriage.

Hands down, mine is the fairy in a wine glass. I like it because I am one of the few who actually enjoy the line it comes from, it\'s a wonderful conversion, and if I were to do the same thing, I know exactly what I\'d do differently. It\'s really inspiring, and not a whole lot of figures on CMoN actually inspire me.

My favorite so far is
Griffon Rescue
Because I love when someone sees a mini outside the fantasy world the figure was intended for (hence my CMON and VIC contest entries).
This one is a whole different sort of fantasy world and I chuckle every time I see it.
Plust it\'s stunningly painted to boot.

I think my favorite so far is Fluffy\'s
Paladin-Order of the Wall.

The blending is beautiful as is the freehand.

Another two that truly amaze me are:

The skin is beautiful.

Once again the skin.

\"Fairy in a Glass\" has always been a favorite, I love the concept. I actually have too many favorites to list. As a matter of fact, the limit on favorites needs to be bigger because I have many more than 20 that I really love. Some of my favorite painters are:

Jen Haley (big surprise)
Eric Louchard
sivousplay (I think I have had all of Jim\'s work on my fav list at one time or another)

Wow! I just checked out the Griffin Rescue, and it is amazing. Truly creative!

I also like Fluffy\'s Paladin- Order of the Wall. That one is also on my Favorites list. I just love the shield--- it has a translucent feel to it, almost like porcelin.

I cant say what my favorite piece on site is. My favorite peice in my collection, however, is an old Ral Partha figure, \"The Kindly Cleric\" - A look of pure rapture on his face, his right hand raised with the symbol of his faith, while his left hand is behind his back holding a footmans flail. Pure Genius I say

hmmmmm if I had to pick, I think my fav mini..... (just the sculpt alone unpainted) would be Mordheim\'s Aenur, Sword of Twilight.
(which I have a copy of but am saving up for a day when I become real good at painting, so as to do the mini justice.... I like Aenur..... no idea why)

but, for a cmon submission, I\'d pick Sivousplay\'s \" Criora Qvæsitor Sahjagis\"

this is a very inspiring mini...
excellent skin effects and well balanced by flowing water.....

There are just too may excellent painters and sculptors here for me to list them or to choose any one mini based on artistry. Just listing my favorite painters would be way too long.

However, my absolute all time favorite is: Barbie Space Marine jsut for teh shear whimsy (re: idiocy ) of it. Obviously, I like things a little different & slightly twisted

My favorite changes with my mood, but currently the two contenders would be Troll Matron or Whibble\'s Harlequin.

They are both great concepts IMO and rather well executed. (a rare combination)

Though the griffon rescue and a few others mentioned are regular haunts when I\'m meandering.

I also have to admit, I am strangely moved by FW ElDep\'s bizarre creations, even if some are in... questionable taste. And I\'m not even a Chaos fan...

I\'m of like mind. While Barbie is not my favorite because the quality is not that high, moonwhim is one of my favorite artists. I would love to game with him/her someday, just to see that assemblage on the field.
And the great thing is moonwhim is getting better!
