been collecting a mixture of sci-fi and fantasy. like finn, i don\'t game so i buy anything that looks cool. i do try and collect some armies though as i may actually play at some point (though i doubt it - i barely have enough time as it is!)

I like\'m all! I\'m not fussy, just has to be a good sculpt.
I\'ve painted Germans, Huns, Crusaders, Space Marines, gobbos, necromundans, big buggers, little buggers, the whole shebang!

... I don\'t really mind. A slight preference for sci-fi, but that\'s mostly because the majority of fantasy stuff tends to be the cliche \'high fantasy\' - so elves, dwarves, boring repetetive stuff, mostly done the same way. Some fantasy is quite exciting however, eg a lot of the Confrontation minis are great and lean away from that standard template fantasy. Generally there\'s more inventiveness in sci-fi stuff.
I do agree about Star wars being science *fantasy* however, the themes are utterly fantasy - I think maybe someone like Iain M Banks (the M is important, without the M he writes depressing crap fiction) is a bit more sci-fi, ditto mr Asimov.
Dune\'s another set of \'fantasy\' stuff that just happens to have a futuristic setting . It\'s more about the mystical stuff than the tech.
but yeah, anything well sculpted or particularly interesting, with a slight lean toward sci-fi stuff as it has a wider universe to draw from.

I like Science Fiction/Fantasy but I am recently getting more into fantasy. If New wave would ship me my order, I\'d be really into fantasy.
