What now Dullcote\'s gone?

Firstly apologies if this has been brought up previously. My experience of the search tool has always been hit and miss.

Anyway now that Dullcote Spray is official a WMD according to the EU.

What are people using now? Whats the best stuff to replace it?

I\'m lost without it\'s dulling down powers.

i just keep finding people with some left and buying it off them.
hopefully this tactic will see me through until they get their new formula ready and shipped to the uk.

i believe it\'s due next year now :~(

Considering my small output, and the fact that I don\'t varnish all my minis, my three bottles will last a long time. The new formula will guaranteed be on the market by then... I hope.

Well I also have a small stock left(15 cans) As soon as I saw the ban announced, Ebay became my friend. So they should last me a while.

But there is another product called Army Painter. Their mat is pretty good too, and in bigger cans too.

I\'m down to 4 tins of dullcote and seeing as I can\'t fly with them they will last me a while yet (no I\'m not going to sell them or swap them).

I have heard mixed reviews on the Army Painter stuff it would seem that is is nearly as unreliable as the old GW purity seal in that you may or may not get a dull coat every time you use it.

2nd hand information as I don\'t use varnishes but...

Use airbush and an entirely new market opens.. tend to be more reliable as well. The model scale builders use a wide range of products. You can even throw a matt medium through an airbrush IIRC.
