What\'s the best adhesive meduim to use for sticking minis on a paint pot???

I have used Elmer\'s orange tack only to be a comple nightmare trying to get it all cleaned out of the base. It does hold the mini really well on an old paint pot.

Blu tac dosent seem to be strong enough.

Any suggestions?

I always use blue tac/poster tac the name varies depending on where in the world you are.

It is not limited to one use only even if you get paint all over it I have been using the same blobs on the pots for a while now with no problems.

Depending on the base you may need to lap it over slightly, it is more than strong enough for the average figure.

depending on the wine cork, Seb. ;)

Superglue the base to the pot, they aren\'t hard to peel off afterwards. I\'ve heard that hot glue is ideal for sticking things onto other things (Martha stewart?) Or if you paint the base after the mini, use tape. :)

use a Demi John cork and pin the mini into the smaller end. for large minis I use 2 or 3 superglued together (see Orion)

You can get them cheap as chips if you go to a home brew shop and ask for the ones that aren\'t good enough for wine making, they aren\'t usually on display, for obvious reasons I guess

Bah, I\'m cheap:

A 20oz pop bottle cap and 2-sided masking tape. Easy enough to replace the tape when it starts getting crappy, and I\'ve found it holds larger 40mm bases and metal miniatures just fine.

What would you want to stick onto Martha Stewart? On second thoughts I don\'t wanna know. lol lol

As for the bases just like Mick22 I use Demi John corks. You can superglue the mini\'s base directly to them or if it\'s a special figure you\'re working on Slip a piece of thin placticard between the base and the cork. It\'s easy enough to get off once you\'re finished painting.

If you get tired hands after painting when using he cork try to find a piece of tubing to either glue the cork too, or insert the cork into. I\'ve found that it helps to stop cramp. (Mind you I have a tendency to paint for several hours at a stretch.)

Blue tack every time, it can be a bit less effective on bigger models but if you leave it overnight the blue tack hardens a little and holds the mini better.

I\'ve used both superglue and bluetac (on different mini\'s of course) when I use a solid holder like a 35mm film cannister. Although my prefered route is to pin and use a pinvice

Not the DemiJohn cork, but the rubber wine corks - drop of superglue and Bob\'s your Uncle.
