What\'s the best digicam out there?

I am thinkin of getting a cheap digital camera... can anyone reccomend a really good brand/model?

I\'ve been pretty happy with my Olympus Camedia 3020 Zoom . . the reason the resolution is imperfect on my pics however is because of me being stupid not because of the camera which I\'ve now figured out . . .

At any rate, PC World - and at their website, review all manner of electronic equipment - mostly PC related but they do do a monthly review of new digital cameras. I bought mine based on their recommendation - it had their highest rating 2-3 months in a row and always seemed to be on their list of best cameras . . .

Whatever you do, at least look at a consumer reference group to get reviews from the camera folks, see what they are saying.

And also, make sure you get one with good Macros capability - this allows you to get high resolution at a close distance -(while zoomed)

Cheap......really good.
