What\'s the fastest....

I bet I painted some minis the same day I bought them way back when I was a kid. But then, my technique was a bit... undeveloped.

In \"present time\" I\'d say about a week*.

*A week counted from when I received the mini, not ordered it.

Hahahahaha... this is funny. *sigh*

It\'d be nice not to have so many interests that divide my time. Took me a year and a half to do something \"quick\" for my son.

Ooo, toughie. I can\'t remember! I\'d say it was weeks at least (probably a month or more) but that\'s just a guess.

On rare occasions I\'ve done it within 24 hours, like when I desperately need a new model finished to play a grudge match against an opponent I know very well. My huge pile of unpainted minis means that I rarely have to buy anything anymore, so recently it\'s been models I\'ve owned for years finally getting some attention.

... Although I suppose my Chaos army that I took to a tournament in February is an interesting case. I got the minis for the army as Christmas presents and had them all (well 2k worth) painted to a respectable standard 6 weeks later. Not all of them got \"finished\" but hey I\'m not a speed painter :p

As per Ritual, I\'m sure as a kid I managed to get something \"finished\" on the day of purchase, I\'ll guess skellybobs from the GW plastic regiment when I discovered drybrushing :D Until recently every mini was opened on day of purchase and covetously fondled. Since signing up to this place however I\'ve bought rather more & now have unopened blisters on the shelf to my side!? The horror! Although nothing like the foundry worth of metal some of you folks have stashed (going by past photo threads). Might have to challenge myself sometime to pop into town early, pick up a mini & see how far I can get with it before I turn into a pumpkin  B.

Probably a day. back when I didn\'t care as much about standards. For example I remember painting some ghastly marines with a combo of fiery orange and enchanted blue...

Not counting the use of public transit to get from my game shop to home, 43 minutes. Add 30 minutes if you do count the transit time.

I used to turn about 100 figures around each week when I was doing commisions (that is painting 2 to 3 hours a night).
As for a single figure the quickest I remember was a giant ogre from GD 92 got him to my mates undercoated and painted in couple of hours was not bad standard.

I rarely finish anything i buy within the same calendar year of purchase :drunk:

actually, my latest (plug) model of a (shameless plug) 15mm panzer (pluggy plug plug) was completed within 2 weeks of purchase, and damn proud of it i AM!

Am i so shameless to provide a link begging for votes though?

..of course im not, dont be silly lol

3 hours. My Travelocity mini. I got pissed at them, ordered the mini and sat down and painted it as soon as it came in the mail.

About 6 minutes and some change, including the basing that was still wet when I finished. It was a friendly speed-painting bet that I took at a local store. It was three of these guys, back when they came three to a blister.

Since I won the bet and did it under ten minutes, I didn\'t have to pay for the minis.

Oh Jim you do come out with some good ones.

Best time for painting a mini was to be given and complete a \"Grom The Paunch\" in 1 Hour 45 Minutes to a table top standard.
Other than that I did the Mini Dragon and the Bird from the High Elves Dragon in 1 hour a piece.
But I\'m not a speed painter, as with a lot of things I like to take my time.
