@donj...that is very impressive. Organized and clean doesnt even begin to explain that.

@donga...You call THAT a bloody mess? My workspace was so bad the other day, I couldn\'t find the mini I was working on!! I spotted the box BTW...I\'m still upset the tape didn\'t cause you more troubles...lol

how can you paint right next to someone else?

i gotta have elbow room. (about 6 feet worth for when i shake excess water from my brush.)

The paper towels inbetween the desks on the floor are for getting off the extra water. If we shook the brushes dry we\'d have tie-dyed walls.

It\'s really not cramped and we can just lean over to see each other\'s work and offer tips.

Makes it fun.

It is very cool, but if you tell me that you also have side by side toilets, I\'m leaving....lol

Side-by-side?

Well, here is my workspace - although I have to admit that it\'s not that neat and tidy normally... ;)
And right now it has two lamps instead of one!

ok. my living conditions have changed since the last post. i am not allowed to paint in the house where i live and i am only allowed to model in my bedroom:

models001.jpg

as you can see, i need a desk of some kind

i paint in the garage (which i freezing cold at the mo, so my paints take ages to dry - great for blending shite for trying to get things finished quickly because it\'s cold!)

i sit on the workmate on the right. the table is left over from the previous occupant:

one day, i hope to paint inside. (we all have to dream) :(

Well here is the outside

The bikes have since gone, & I know it could do with a lick of paint
The rest of the pics are taken standing in the doorway & going from left to right, oh & I\'ve added some shelves & had a bit of a tidy up :D

& this is my \"light tent\" in use, the 2 lights on the side are 500w Halogens & the one above is a 100w Daylight bulb, there is a switch on the front to turn them on & off together :D

We don\'t have a lot of space here in Korea. So I use teh old kitchen table and placed it next to a window in our TV room. I have tons of works in progress on it and some minis prepped from priming. My wife says it\'s ugly. I think its inspiring.:)

seems you have got to have a mess somewhere to be considered a painter. lol

even those that show clean areas i am sure you cleaned up before taking the picture!

Yes. It\'s a conspiracy. They are trying to support the myth by our wives that it should be neat and tidy.lol.

If it was too neat, then I wouldn\'t want to paint anymore. So, I let my guys look at me and make me feel guilty about not painting. Thus the inspiration.:)

Ouch man...that looks like a hard space to work in. Don\'t you experience any back problems?

yes. also because it\'s so cold, my hands freeze and i have to stop after a while if i start to shake. the heater only just works so i position my self so i\'m sitting over it. it\'s not too bad then. do i get a prize for the shittest working space?

I don\'t know about that, but you do deserve a prize for the painter with the biggest will power :)
I don\'t know if many of us would paint in those conditions...
