a s***load of minis just arrived, THANKS game mart :)
i assembled all the wolven and then i discovered an additional thing in the new prowler blister.
it might be a flute or just a voodoo stick or something
i look at it for 15 minutes but couldnt find out what to do with it.
i looked at several pictures but none showed the usage of this stick.
has anyone any idea what it is and where to put it on the prowler?
btw awesome models, love the wolfen! :) would you suggest painting them as a whole or each part on its own due to the sheer weight of it?

i got the same thing when i got mine off ebay..... im not sure ether.... i just decided to throw it in the bitz box and do away with it....

That might shed some light. As to your other question, I don\'t think Wolfen done all the same look right. Their strength doesn\'t lie in conformity. After all, look at the variation you can get in a litter of puppies...

lol no i ment if i should paint them, each wolfen, as a whole or every single part of it as a stand alone piece, not if i should paint all my wolfen in the same pattern ;)

I\'d advise doing the legs and torso w/arms as seperate parts...makes it a bit easier to paint, and helps psychologically too. :)

I painted my first wolfen whilst in one piece... I quickly decided to do the second in separate pieces :)

I\'m about to paint up a couple of wolfen and if I don\'t paint them in pieces then its going to be murder to finish them properly.

Kinda apprehensive about doing that. First time I\'ll paint something in bits and THEN put it together.

Hi there,

glad to see you have chosen wolfen! :D I\'m not sure about the prowler, as haven\'t yet got one myself. Not sure if these links help:

As for painting before assembly or assembly before painting, it really depends on the sculpt. For instance, there are some wolfen where, if you assemble everything first they are easier to handle and paint. At least you can fill in any gaps before priming etc. However, there are others such as Killyox, vestals, crossbow 3, Lykai, Nekhar (ok hes a devvie I know) which if you assemble them before painting you\'ll find that there are some areas that you can\'t get to to paint. So my advice is to dry fit all the parts, see if they will cause you any problems if you paint after assembly and then decide what the way to go is. Generally you can at least assemble the head, torso and body prior to painting, dry fitting the arms, but leaving them off for the time being. ;) If you want ideas for paint schemes have a look in my wolfen gallery:
