What the....?

Ok, I\'m thoroughly baffled.

This is a canadian thing that\'s been going on for a couple of weeks, now, and I finally gave in to curiousity and checked it out.

Little 10-15 second spots have been coming onto the tv, showing some guy called \'Uncle Yaris\' doing various things. No indication of what\'s actually being advertised.

The end of the spots flashes the web address: yaris.ca

So, I finally checked out the web site, and there doesn\'t seem to be anything being advertised...

Baffling.... Is this guy just obnoxiously rich and bored, or is the catch not yet revealed, or what?

@Wolf: I mostly watch Space and the Comedy Network, and that\'s where I\'ve been seeing the spots.

about 5-6 years ago when the ( annoying tv show ) big brother came to Australia the first set of advertising was just two second flashes of big eyes across the screen, and ovcourse(sp?) us australians did not have a clue what it was.

It might be just a sales pitch for a new tv show .

Just sounds like an AD. It will arouse your curiousity till you cant stand it and then shell out the $40 a month to find out what it is.

Here in CA we get ad\'s on TV for medications that do wonderful things. The ad never says what they do but encourages you to talk to your doctor about using them...............???

I never heard of the Toyota Yaris, but I guess that makes sense. Didn\'t see anything about Toyota on the site when I checked it, but it may have been cleverly hidden. I have no idea.
