What to do for a painting Class?

Hi all, so my time is freeing up finally, I\'m painting and can think about doing a painting class now like I suggested I would. My question is what would people like me to do? I don\'t have anything specifically in mind, so although I\'m putting up options in this poll, I\'m open to suggestions as well! I think by the time the current one(s) are finished I\'ll be ready with mine :)

Thanks!

I think a specifique mini is the best.
It alows you to work on the technique for different type of areas. Skin, cloth, armour, ect. And it is also a great way to see how light should be applied to a mini. Gives you a chance to explain the whole theory on light and all.
And it\'s a good way to see colors people have trouble with

For the sugestion I\'d say somthing easily available, so most probably warhammer. Somthing with nice folds wich is better for theory. And somthing that\'s not too hard so it dosn\'t take forever to finish it, or to explain. maybe those new high elf mages. Or there might be somthing in the new wood elfs :)

For god\'s sake man!

Do a tutorial on NMM! I\'m fookin sick to death of fielding questions on it! It\'d be good to have a really good link!!

I think that regardless of if I do a painting class on NMM, I\'m going to do a tutorial on it, I\'ve been sort of gathering my thoughts on it over the last couple months while I been painting.

I\'d really like an NMM tutorial, but I also agree with Frenchkid that a specific mini where several different areas can be practiced sounds like a good idea, so I\'m somewhat undecided. Whatever you decide to do, I\'m in! :)

But wait until after GDUK!

I chose the step-by-step one, since I like seeing how an entire mini comes together, although I\'d have to agree with Vince, I think something with some crystalline features would be a great idea!:D The only problem with this is that\'s it\'s hard for eveyone who wants to participate to get the same mini :(

And it\'s about time you put a tutorial here, Eric! Maybe I should be a tattletale and tell everyone that you\'re already posted your first one HERE at Jenova\'s site. :p

Now everyone can check out Eric\'s secret family recipie!

lol Duende! no posting my \"family reciepe!\"

Actually I was going to make that tutorial required reading when I do my class, and I was actually poking around cmon this morning trying to figure out how to post it...:)

it was too complex :(:(

As for the crystal...I actually have only tried painting crystal-type things twice (Spangleshard on my paint aid tyrant, and on hyrekia), although they both seem to have been well recieved

The other thought I had was a class only on faces & eyes...

nice write up eric. Same technique as most french painters. I just started trying to paint this way having taken a couple of lecons with jeremy bonamant. But my highlight are giving me problems  Looking foward to painting lecons with you. Hope I can take part
:)

lol that\'s funny, since I think my style is distinctly un-french, but just goes to show how versitile painting with that method can be.

*sigh* You can figure out how to put a new annual together but this is too complex??

Here\'s a little tutorial for you:

Go to the articles page. Once there, click on those little words that I\'ve circled in red on the pic below:
submitart1.jpg

That will take you to this page (pictured below). Put your articles title in the space provided, pick an appropriate category, and click on the word \"Submit\".

Being that I don\'t have any articles to submit, I couldn\'t go past this page, BUT, I\'m assuming, that the next page has an area to place the body of your article.

Now was that so hard?? :duh:

Watch for my next tutorial, \"How to Program a VCR\". :D

Maybe you could do a class on how to name your mini so we don\'t have to see any more \'Another mini/Un autre figurine\'... :D

Agree with Scott on this one I can never get it right but sick of seeing people asking for tips/hints.

There are a couple of good tutorials that explin the basics but nothing for a step by step on an actual mini. :D

Actually, I think Rune Kappel (Kaple) has made one. It\'s on his website.

But, that doesn\'t mean there isn\'t room for another one! :)

ok, well it looks like a single mini tutorial wins, I\'ll start looking for one to do, suggestions her are more than welcome

I think for all you nmm voters, I\'ll be working on the nmm tutorial I\'ve been thinking about for a while now. Hopefully I\'ll have it done bythe time I start so I can reference it.

My planned start date will be after the current clas is over, but not earlier than Oct 1.

I think it should be fun! :)
