What to do?

Sometimes the block is telling you it\'s time for a break. Hard to get water from an empty barrel.

When the work HAS to be done what I have done in the past is simply to paint the parts that are obvious. Grass? -- paint it green, flesh? - paint it flesh tone, wood? paint it tan etc...SOMETIMES simply doing stuff that dosent take inspiration gets the ball rolling and then the inspiration takes over.

For the past fifteen years I have been doing, yearly, greeting card artwork for a company in New Hampshire. It can get to be quite a chore to do ANOTHER Santa doing something different than last years. Sit down and simply draw a candy cane. Draw a sleigh. Draw a Christmas tree. It gets things started.

Good news, the inspiration came back :bouncy:

and i am glad to say i finished the commission work, now i still have more, but at-least now i know i just have this one thing, not a backlog of boring work (i knew things had worked out when i was at work and couldn\'t wait to get home to work on this new commisssion)

Get an audio libary - that what i do - listen to tapes and stuff - takes yer mind off it.

Dont however go out and get an xbox360. They are biatches for taking the weak willed (me) away from earning bread. Infact I can hear it now - No Master Chief, NO. I\'m at work
