We\'ve had a thread about porn, we\'ve got a thread about drug abuse in Welsh bus stations, now all we need is a thread about devil worship.
So here it is.
Come on boys and girls, don\'t be shy:D
Anybody had any experiences with Devil worshipers, satanists, the works of Aleister Crowley......?:innocent:

One of my mates was heavily into it when he was about 14-15, he knew a group of older people who did all the rituals etc...
Then one day they decided to sacrifice a baby, one of them kidnapped a bairn and they slit its throat during some sacrificial ritual of some sort. My mate didn\'t take to it well, and ended up going to the police, then ended up having councelling for a year or two.
AFAIK the kid/bloke who did the deed is now in prison.

One of the kids at the local GW insisted he was a warlock and could astral project himself and summon daemons to do his bidding. It was at that point the manager appeared behind and ordered him to magic himself to the shop to restock the store fridge.

I guy I know who is into Black Metal set a church on fire once. Him and his friends got the courage to do it when they were very drunk, but on account of being very drunk they failed miserably getting the hell away from the crime scene when the deed was done... One the group was lucky enough to be too drunk to join them, or else he would have ended up in prison too.

Ritual - they didn\'t eat the brain of a guy who shot himself, did they? Were they in a band? In Sweden? lol

I went to check out a prospective house oncer as a student - there was a giant pentagram painted on the basement floor. \"Oh, we were just practicing for a play\" they said.

Oh, don\'t get me started on the pretentiousness of Crowley\'s followers.

It\'s spelled MAGIC people! Not \'Magick\'.
Twits. Buy a dictionary.

My brother and I once pretended to be in the midst of a satanic ritual to scare away
some Jehovah\'s Witnesses... does that count?

Not really, but funny you should mention it... There was a girl in my class at university who was together with one of the biggest names in Swedish Black Metal. She was also best friends with the girlfriend of Count Grishnak of the Norwegian band Burzum, who is in jail for murder of a member of rival Norwegian band Mayhem.

The guy who shot himself was also a member of Mayhem. The remaining members of the band collected pieces of his skull, that had been sprayed all over his apartment when he shot himself, and sent a fragment each to people they respected (i.e. people they thought were evil enough). My class mate and her boyfriend got a piece of his skull in the mail. They thought it was disgusting... as they were pretty decent and sensible people.

As an aside... that best friend of hers went to prison for attempted murder after stabbing a guy repeatedly at a party that my class mate had in her apartment once.

Plenty of fucked up people in that crowd...

No Such Agency - The band was called Mayhem, and the guy that shot himself was called \"Dead\" he was the singer, anyway he was sharing a flat with the guitarist Euronimous (sp) and when Euronimous came home and found his flatmat \"Dead\" dead, he apparently collected a few peices of skull and some brain before calling the cops.

so he the invites the rest of tha band round for dinner, cooks a stew, and drops the bit of brain in the stew... Now they could tell people they were cannibals... +100 to your black metal evilness

he had the bits of skull polished and the band wore them as pendants.

all does not end well for Euronimous though... one night he gets in to an argument in his house with Count Grishnak, the guy behind Burzum (another black metal band)

Grishnak get the hump with Euronimous and chases him round the kitchen with a massive kitchen knife and stabs him repeatedly till dead... gets arrested and during the court case tells how euronimous cryed like a little girl and begged for his life... grishnak is currently serving 21 years in prison for the murder, still released a few albums from prison and is now a total right wing nutter.

next week on lives of black metal musician, we will replay the story of hellhammer, former drummer for Emperor who lured a homosexual man into the woods and murdered him in an attempt to gain extra black metal evilness points

eh... say what??? ???

when I worked for Ral Partha we once got a letter addressed to the sculpting department..Inside was a blister card from a package of D&D Clerics..with a note that said you will surely go to hell for this.. we were never really sure if it was because we made the D&D figures or because he just hated those clerics.. <shrug>

Meh I say Meh.

Satanism has been a whipping boy of the for the last 40 years. Hell, the first thought in the Tate murders was that it was Satanists acting out the themes from Rosemary\'s Baby (Tate was married to Roman Polanski the director).

And having grown up 1. in Waco, and 2. in a law enforcement family I can say that Satanism is invoked in a lot of cases where it shouldn\'t be - most of it is bored suburban kids trying to freak out their parents.

Yeah, some of those Black Metal bands mix satanism and viking religion.

@AsgardUK
Well, at least I didn\'t know about the brain eating bit. Speaking of Euronimus... there was a quite famous interview with him in a Swedish magazine called Close Up once. It\'s one of the most hillarious things I\'ve ever read... If you haven\'t read it, look it up! I think it\'s available on the net somewhere.

Okay, his name was spelt Euronymous (real name Oystein Aarseth). He also owned a record shop, Helvete (which means Hell). Count Grishnackh (real name Kristian Vikernes, now changed to Varg Vikernes). Incidentally, Dead was Swedish.

A few years ago I did get receive a membership card to the Infernal Horde. Mind you, it had to do with Cacophanous Records, not any cult. And I got it free as I was doing my research into the pentagram for my long essay at university.
