I was wondering what shades of minwax people use for dipping. I'm hoping to get some armies painted up, and don't want to pay army painters prices when theres alternatives that are cheaper and do the same thing. I'm looking for a light and dark shade. examples would be great as well. thanks in advance.
What wood stain for dipping?

Get a normal stain and add your own pigment. Can have it as dark as you like or whatever colour you like. A good place to get them from is here:http://www.modeldisplayproducts.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=63
