Whatever happened to Tidocco2222

I went browsing thru some galleries today and I was interested to look thru tidocco\'s as I like his metal, but it seems his gallery is no longer there. Has he left is it a mistake? Just wondered. It would be a shame if he has gone as I love his metals.

This confirms all my suspicions: There\'s a corrupt circle of power-hungry netherbeasts that feed on CMoN members. Tid is the next in a list of folk who have seemingly just disappeared. I\'m looking over my shoulder as I type this and fear is coursing through my veins for taking this foolish step of unveiling the truth *gulp*

Otherwise, I hope he ain\'t buggered off. Admin problem I\'d say. It was only last week we were gassing. I\'m sure it\'s all a big mistake :)

Reverend disappeared for a while there.

Maybe he was disappeared and we now have a doppleganger in our midst, posing as Reverend, and picking off the occasional victim.

Probably the NMM cult have kidnapped him and are now trying to convert him to the ways of the grey paint. We need an intervention!

Hope he isn\'t away long. Makes me want to paint metal he does.

What we need is a good old fashioned debate about the pros and cons of a professionally painted GW mini depicting evolution and religion, painted in NMM AND metallics for sale for a ludicrous price on E-bay....

That would spice things up!!

Well I went to Tim\'s profile and found this:

To all the mindless morons and halfwitted idiots that infest this site, I have had enough of being attacked by you who do not have the bollocks to leave comments as to why you want to vote my images with low scores. I guess you must have a very low iq level or are just complete wankers. With that said I am no longer going to be a target for your malicious ways. No more images will be posted here by me for you to attack and those that were here have been removed. Congratulations fuckheads you win.

I find it unfortunate that he had to leave, but I know that he had some problems with snipping in the past. I for one found his painting style refreshing and fun. He was always willing to give a helpful comment on miniatures.

You will be missed Tim. :(

Tims profile link.

Well Ive got to say Im pretty flabbergasted by that comment in his profile. Tim always got good scores and was a great chap in the forums. I just dont get it.
???
I know he had a sabbattical before but it looks like the dummy has been spat too far from the pram this time.

Shame.

that is a terrible shame! i really wish he had left some of his stuff up so that people who enjoy his work could reference it.

i have had a similar gripe many a time, and have, on several occasions discussed this problem.

optimaly guest voting would be restricted. the problem with this of course is that it will alienate new potential members and supporters. we have in IMHO, come to a point where the issue must be addressed. when we start losing very talented, experienced, helpful, and influential members of our perminant community, something is wrong. we need those very people to keep CMON a credible and friendly web community. if it werent for tidocos advice early on, who knows if i would now be a supporter?

idea for change: supporting members and posters with the member status receive the option to restrict voters to supporting members and posting members.

what do you think?

I don\'t think restricting usage is the answer. Perhaps a prompt for scores lower than X to require comments be left. The comments are already monitored. People get bored; they come and go. Some people come back. One of these \"where are they now\" threads shows up every couple months. Remember; everyone on this site is an artist; expect to deal with the moods of artists. I\'ve gotten some low votes, but it\'s all for fun.

im sure you\'re right philo - restriction isnt the answer. i dont know about the prompt though. people who would go along with that would do it anyhow.

Yes, this is why I have started to archive useful/inspirational mini pics locally.

we have in IMHO, come to a point where the issue must be addressed. when we start losing very talented, experienced, helpful, and influential members of our perminant community, something is wrong.
Not to be too harsh, but could that \"something\" be that people are being too sensitive? It\'s just a website, with some numbers beside a picture. I would never delete my gallery in a fit of pique and frankly I can\'t understand why others do it. It just seems pointless and juvenile. I thought tidoco seemed so normal, not constantly flying off the handle like some other members... and then this?

All I can say is what I always say... it\'s his loss.
