Having fun in the darkness. Found I'd been highlighting too much, to the point even the mid-tones and shadows were too bright - like someone had fiddled with the Brightness.
Enjoying Brown at the mo'. Mostly various browns inks. An ancient GW one clicking on empty but clinging on for occasional use. A new GW I'm finding dreadful, the viscosity of it is peculiarly thick while the pigment is uncommonly subtle. A Vallejo ink is standard fare, while their sepia one brings something else to the process. A P3 one is surprisingly ruddy and offers some variety.

Wow, Turqoise done right. That's sort of inspiring.

But I still have 10 more Elven Archers to dress in Autumn colors. Maybe Turqoise will be my next project. Turqoise High Elf Dragon, anyone?

Blue. I <3 blue. Just about everything I've done since middle school has blue in it. And not just mini painting either, you should see all of the variations on my website's theme.

In the turquoise theme. I picked up a P3 Coal Black on the off chance it'd serve as a highlight for black. It does, as it's that kind of very dark turquoise that serves so well, what with the visual recognition being thrown an all. Been enjoying Black, to Coal Black, then just adding more white to the Coal Black. So much easier than arsing about with degrees of black, turquoise, and white. Been wanting to mention that, but didn't seem thread worthy on it's own.

So yeah, Turquoise too. Albeit a dark one. Emerging from blackness. Like a teen from their untidy bedroom. Though I expect the paint tastes nicer.:brushlick:

i'm definitely in a red mood. just love red. but i think, however, that i'm on the verge to leap into a "muted earthy" stage. i had an extreme thing for purple a while ago. that was... fun...
i hope i'm heading for a blue or yellow one sometime, just because i wish i could get those colours right. oh and i've also just entered a stage of "decorating". i feel obliged to fill all flat or even moderately flat areas with some kind of freehand design... getting better at it, though (x
