Mine would have to be the Ettin (11-410) from Ral Partha\'s ad&d line, I don\'t think I\'ve ever seen a more deranged looking mini. The Marid from the same line is also very good.

Hard to say

of those minis that I´ve already painted: definately the terminator captain of GW´s WH40K - I like termies with visible faces, and he´s the only one besides Logan plus he´s got a good pose and some robes - nice; from those not yet tried - either Inquisitor Torquemada or the old Inquisitor terminator with the bionic leg (hmm, again a termie with no helmet)

Hmm, lets see -
Large scale Lead (54 mm) -
Thunderbolt Mountains Sea Witch

1/35 Scale (54 mm) plastic kits -
76 mm gun Sherman Tank from Italiari

25mm Lead -
The Lewd Beholder from Kenzer & Co

Large Scale Plastic Kit (120mm) -
German Cavalryman WWII from Marco Polo

Ship Kit
1/96 scale USS Constitution

Hope this helps

Not a question I can answer...

I have thought about this for a while now and I am no closer to having an answer. It\'s a bit like the Radio Programme \'Desert Island Discs\' where you have to pick a number of records to take with you if you knew you were going to be trapped on a desert island This would be \'Desert Island Minis\'.

Even if I allowed myself ten choices they would change day by day. but I will have a bash in the spirit of the thing.

In no order of preference:

1) The old Mishima Dragon bike from Warzone. About a pound of lead that needed the skills of a God to turn into anything other than big fishing weight.

2) Original plastic space marines and I do mean the original ones

3) Blade Maiden leader from Chronopia. Her pals weren\'t bad either.

4) The old dragon from GW. Can\'t remember his name, but he is the one that looks like he is \'truckin\'.

5) Logren from Rackham simply \'cos he\'s the most expensive mini I\'ve ever bought (having just displaced leonatos and Sgt Centurius)

6) Ral Partha\'s Zombie Dragon. A Ltd Ed Model that looks the business. (\'Dracolich!\" that\'s the baby, thanks Kat)

7) Forge World\'s Squig Hopper. Beautiful and fragile as hell!! *sob*

8) Tanath the young one from Rackham. Partly \'cos he was a b*gger to track down but mainly \'cos it\'s a great sculpt.

9) Heresy\'s Netherlord. Nearly forgot this one. What a beast!! Go get one while you can. GBP30 for a model that Forge World would charge at least GBP200 for IMO.

10) Wossizname that uge Death Watch space marine from the Inquisitor range. Well I quite like him.

10a) Any Wolfen

Tomorrow the list could be different howeverlol

the deathwatch guy is artemis and he rocks - proper size when compared to other models in the scale. am always annoyed by the fact that an 8\' space marine stands at the same height as anyone else in 40k. but i have to say that i prefer cherubael, having read all the eisenhorn novels, i love the energy of the model.

also think the dirz halbediers are great. dunno why. first rackham models i ever saw

Hmm.. Tricky question! I\'ll give it a go though. Of the ones I have:

1. Takhisis- Love this beast cause it\'s so true to the original artwork by Clyde Caldwell. And I was always a fan of Tiamat from the old D & D cartoons.

2. Gauth- Just because he is sooo cool.

3. Ral Partha\'s Ltd. Ed. dracolich, big and really cool

4. all my wolfen but especially Syriak and The Watcher.

5. My forgewold temple guard who is not yet finished.

Favorites on my to get list:

1. Rackham\'s rune guardian
2. wolfen box set
3. golden dragon of chaos
4. GW Great Spined dragon
5. Asgarth pack leader

err see a pattern emerging do you?

I don\'t know if this applies to anyone else but I loose interest in a mini once I\'ve painted it so my favorite is always something new.

Of the minis I have my favorite is Rackam\'s Azael - mainly because I can\'t paint her - she\'s been in the paintstripper twice so far and is now sitting fully primed waiting a third attempt. A close runner up is Reapers Jahenna vampire which is still safe in it\'s blister waiting a dose of courage/inspiration (- already had that from postings on CMON for this one).

Of models I aspire to owning the that has my eye is the Spyglass Succubus - wow!

Interesting I\'ve just noticed they are all women characters - strange.

As a general rule of thumb, whatever I\'m working on right now is my favorite piece. Of course I\'m often working on multiple projects, but one of those is the one I focus most of my attention on and the others are basically practice pieces.

For coolness factor, some of my favorites are Mira the wreckless, Monique de Noir, Midori Female Monk, Toshiro Male Ronin, Lysette Sorceress, Lola Female Thief, Bretonian Sorceress on foot, Archaon, Sigmarite Auger, Aenur, and everything else that\'s the newest thing on the block. So much to pick from, I probably missed a whole bunch more. I too notice most my favorites are females.

fav mini....... geez, thats insane. so many minis come flying through my head..... your such a bastard fireglow for asking this question! :)

uhmmm, phew, well even though id like to say many from ral reaper an target games aka all the old ones i 1st got id have to go with games workshops eltharion on stormwing. reason? the model is insane and big and stormwing is bueatifull. 2nd what helps me enjoy the model scads more is the great story in the old high elf book (2nd edition i think) in which he rages against the goblins. awesome fight and story. even though mark gibbons never got to give eltharion his bad ass art character treatment the model is just so well done and the story just sits in my mind backing the model.

All right, I\'ve given it some thought and while admittedly this is a moving target, I\'d say that currently mly two favorite minis are:

1) the new succubus from Steve

2) Meduinn, Fomorian Siren from I-Kore

I find them to both have an elegant, simple beauty. Neither presents the opportunity for a tour de force in picky little details from a painter\'s point of view, but from a purely scultural point of view, I think they\'re fantastic. I could picture either of them being done in marble, like \"David\" or the \"Pieta\". ANd, in its own way, this poses an even more imposing challenge for a painter.

Unfortunately, of course, my painting skills are no where\'s near up to that challenge. :(

oops

I know GW is not appreciated by many, but they are my favorite. I think the best model of a single person would have to be Grimgor Ironhide. I think that is one of the most dynamic pieces I\'ve seen.

nothing like the present....

Usually my favorite model is the one I am working on at the present time.

So the \"favorite\" keeps changing..

If I would have to choose, I\'d go with the Chaos War Mammoth from Forge World, just because he is sooooo cool.

:D
