Whats your worst mini-related injury?

Well, I cut myself multiple times with scalpels and X-acto knifes, but nothing you can\'t fix with some cursing and a patch.
The only time I thought that COULD have ended messy was when I tried to cut away a foot off a mini with my dremel at some 1000rpm.
I just held the mini, but not the foot and when the dremel was through, the foot flew away as from a slingshot and right at my forehead, just a centimeter away from my left eye. I had a big scratch and it hurted a bit, but I think it would have been really painfull if I had hit my eye... *ouch*

numerous stabs and slices. not really a pain in themselves but i work in a hospital which means i have to constantly sanatise my hands with alcohol gel. now that hurts!!

drilled into a finger once. left a bit of swarf in there by mistake. removed it a few weeks later after it had steadily got more painful. that felt good!!

as for random injuries - my lung/s have collapsed 3 times and i broke a hand when punching a wall (not a good idea but i wasn\'t really thinking at the time!) oh, and my old man ran over my foot and ankle with a ford modeo estate. took a lot of skin off. it was ok though

Not mini related but I did manage to punch myself on the nose by accident. Can\'t remember why I was flailing my arms about but I do remember hurting myself.

I think the dent in my wallet is the worst injury so far. I\'m not sure it will ever heal.

Yeah, we tend to be a clumsy lot at times.

Ive cut myself with so many different things so many times its not funny anymore.

Scissors, knives of all kinds, scalpels to leathermen and craft or working knives.

Dremelled my hands and fingers a few times with gouger bits on full speed, they hurt some.

Nearly had an eye out a few times, but one that sticks in my mind was the weapon bit off the blackstone fortress, gouging out the middle to pin it, and had the dremel at full speed to punch out the other side, and the thing grabbed and took it out my hand and started spinning with the bit.

That was nice.

But other injuries Im surprised in one piece sometimes, Ive been run over, punched, kicked, fallen off, out of all my life.

Got a steel plate and four screws in my right hand from, well, something I dont remember doing.

Ive broken or dislocated all of my fingers playing sports.

Broken a toe kicking a van at work showing off my new boots.

Cigarette burns on the back of my left hand from when I was trying to stop smoking.

Ok, I think Im done, Ill probably remember some more later. :D

Mine will be crying for ever over the damage done to it.


Managed to Superglue my Glasses to my Eyebrows once. (Not my brightest of days)

Saves you from accidentally dropping your glasses. I wonder, though, how did you end up with glue on your glasses or eyebrows, or was it on your finger and then you adjusted your glasses?

oh! oh! oh! !!!! I just remembered somthing I did in the mid/late 70\'s... I stood and looked at my olderr brother painting some of his Airfix-planes he was building at the time, and while doing it my hand accidently found a tube (in aluminum or lead) of plastic glue. and this somehow found it\'s way up to my head (read mouth) and I stod there gently biting the tube (don\'t ask me why) and guess what happened at last...

the tube broke and my mouth was flodded with really dangerous plastic glue, it tasted nasty and my mother (happily a doctor) stufed me with some sort of medicin to prevent it doing any harm to my stomac.

don\'t know if anybody of you a bit older ;) remember the airfix glue from the 70\'s that got banned due to being too hazardous - it killed a whole family of mice my brother had in his room at the time of building a lot of models.

well well I haven\'t repeted it, nowdays I only suck a n****e or two... :innocent:

Either that time I punctured my thumb with one of my CSM Daemon Prince\'s spikes, or when I was trimming a pewter piece with my Xacto, and it slipped, burying to the bone in my thumb.

thank you so much, that is a really funny pic in my head.

well like most poeple KNIFES, but my one was i lost my knife and started looking for it, then i saw drips of blood on my desk and then i felt a little tingerling in my left arm and what you know there it was, just hanging there. it was kinda funny really, iwas lokking for about 10 mins.

iv allso lost my hamster, never did find it, but ever since iv had a tingerling feeling in my bum.

i once sucked a paint brush (we all do it!) that i\'d placed in a splodge of superglue my mistake and got the glue on my tongue. things went from bad to worse when i managed to touch the back of my teeth and roof of my mouth with it...

basically i glued my teeth shut and my toungue to the roof of my mouth all in a few seconds. the wife was in hysterics lol

Whilst trimming a MkVI old tan marine, i was all set to do \'loading a clip\' conversion. So, i carefully removed the clip from the bolter, and wouldn\'t you know the damn thing just shot off. I began looking for it then i noticed a strange sensation in my right index finger. As i looked down i could clearly see the handle of my X-acto knife and the tip of its\' blade. The majority of the blade sadly was burried in my index finger. On the up side, my fingernail had stopped the blade. On the down side, the blade hit the fingernail from the bottom in. I now have an interesting fingerprint and pointless story for my efforts. I never did find that damn clip.

One of my friends jammed his x-acto knife into his leg while enfactically making a point. Straight out of \"Young Frankenstien\". My response to this is now and was at the time... ??? ... lol

i didnt do it but a person was stood next to me in my local gw and he was trying to get the lid off his super glue not games workshop super glue and he decided to use his teeth to open it and he held it by the soft bit and he had the lid in his mouth and when the lid came off the pressure from him pressing the bottle made the super glue burst out going into his mouth and all the bottle of super glue went into his mouth :wow:
but luckily he was ok but that could hav killed him

but it was a little bit funny as he was stupid enough to put it in his mouth and press down on the soft bit so ...

I oce used a sculpting tool to sculpt on a piece of putty that I had superglued to a mini, afterwards I licked the tool to lubricate it and semi glued it to my toungue.

I thought of another one that happened a couple days before i removed that chunk of thumb. I was cutting with the dremel on the same mini and slipped with it on 8k and sliced it through my fingernail well into the nail bed. THAT sucked. not to mention I then removed a large piece of my thumb several days later. I have not touched that mini since.
