When did Bingo become a televised sport?

Ok, so I\'m flipping channels tonight and I run across BINGO on ABC -

Now I understand I missed a whole lot of cultural change over the last three years by spending time in the desert, but WHO THE HELL DECIDED THAT BINGO NEEDED TO BE TELEVISED?

Dude, didn\'t you know? Bingo on TV is how old people get stoked at 2 in the afternoon. And how you make little kids pass out at 2 in the afternoon. Seriously, bingo on tv... that\'s lame.

They put poker on ESPN, why not Bingo on ABC?

Personally, I\'m waiting for the WPGFL (that\'s the World Professional Go Fish League to you folks).

World RPS society, serving the needs of decision makers since 1918.

That\'s a nice way to put it:rolleyes:

RPS is a great tool for solving dilemma, second only to flipping coins... both activity require a ton of wits, strategy and guts, compared to bingo.
I got friends who watch poker on ESPN2, tough I was doubtful at first, it surely makes for a better show than bingo.
Maybe people at home can buy cards and play, in this case I suppose it\'s a form of interactive lottery, but I surely would not want to be watching a game ...
