Drink a corona!

I\'m officially single as of today, I moved the last of my crap out of my wife\'s house :mad:, amazing how after 18 years EVERYTHING is hers.

Funny how much $hit we accumulate over the years. Even though I only took my clothes and my collectibles I still had about 30 large tubs filled (10 of which were just minis, and another 5 for gaming-related material). I used to have a lot of comics, but since she sold 70% of them on E-bay I only had three bins of them.

My new abode is only temporary until I get some furniture, but as soon as I get setup I\'ll have to post some pics on the work-area thread. This time I can really go nuts. Sadly, I picture my new apartment looking a lot like the one from 40 year old virgin. Doesn\'t look like I\'ll ever see any action again, but at least I\'ll have my toys.
;)

In case anyone cares, I\'m feeling a little meloncholy about not living with my children, but I\'m extremely happy about NEVER hearing that harrigan\'s voice again!

Now I can truly embrace my inner nerd. :D

P.S. - I already have internet access at my new place, but I don\'t see myself setting up a computer for at least a few days, so don\'t expect any immediate responses to this thread. There are FIVE computers at her house, all but one of which I built, but I wasn\'t allowed to take one, so I\'ll be building a newer and better one this weekend. There\'s ALWAYS a bright side.

Sounds like you had a bad divorce lawyer. That\'s a bummer.
Well, at least we can look forward to seeing more painting from you.

I just wanted to get all of my personal stuff out of the house before the $hit hits the fan. She asked me to leave, and I did (over the last three weeks). Now that I\'m out I can go for the jugular. She has no clue what I\'m about to drag her through.... I almost feel bad.


Naaaayyyyy. :D

revenge is an incredible motivator, I\'ve already lost 15 pounds! ;)

I can imagine what that\'d be like. I\'m sorry you have to go through this. How are your kids doing?

I\'m kind of feeling the same way as Vincegamer and Ritual. I\'m sorry this makes it more difficult for you to be with your kids. Congratulations on regaining your freedom though! :bouncy:

I hope everything turns out for the best.

You\'re probably going to go through all kinds of phases, but the most important part IMHO is to not let yourself get bitter. And have someone to talk to, it\'s easy to make all kinds of silly mistakes out of revenge. 18 years is a long time, it will take some time to get through.

my parents got divorced when i was 6 they always used to bitch about each other when i was with either of them which really annoyed me it still does even now.concentrate on have the best time you can with your kids and dont worry about what your wife does

i maybe sort of young but have good first hand knowledge :idea: go out with the boys have a good time and find yourself a one night stand. it will do wonders. :D

Anyways, i hope you do find something good out of this whole thing, im sure its got to hurt, 18 years is a long time. Just how long i cant fully appreciate since im a few months shy of having lived that long. Anyways, best of luck to you.

Man, that sucks. I can only imagine what it must be like. Oh wait! That\'s right! I can do more than imagine! I went through it myself :duh: Just a scooch over 9 years ago now.

It\'s really no fun. There\'s a lot of stuff you\'ll have to work through. Having the kiddies makes it much tougher. As a divorced father and the son of divorced parents, my main advice to you is to not drag the kiddies into the middle of this. Try your best not to badmouth the b*t#h around them, as much as you might like to. Hopefully your wife is decent and wise enough to do the same. The kids\'ll have enough going on inside without having to deal with that kind of crap. They need to know that whatever may be happening between the two of you that both thier parents still love them.

Yeah, well, enough of that. Good luck with the new beginning. Anything I can do, let me know. PM me if you want and I\'ll give you my email and snail mail addresses. I\'m physically not that far away, though I will be in Tejas for a couple of weeks soon.

Well, I can\'t give any advice on the divorce other than this: Never let her see it bothering you, and find a younger prettier woman, and let her know you are seeing a younger, prettier woman, who\'s better in bed.(even if you aren\'t and she isn\'t. :p)

As for the computer Newegg.com FTW.
