Have you tried model shops that sell trains and Airfix kits etc? They are more likely to sell stuff like that.

I used to use tooth paste tubes for banners etc - just cut the top and bottom off and then along one edge and pull them open. They were great and less likely to cut you than using drinks cans. Not sure if tooth paste still comes in metal tubes - most tend to be plastic these days. But I guess you could use tubes for creams etc..... ???

someone who worked at the radiology section of a hospital once sent me piles in various thicknesses..also if you cant get or find thin lead you can always use the inner lining of tooth paste tubes..but expect a good amount of work doing this separating the plastic from the metal isnt easy..im told soda cans are used also.just a few ideas

@Orb - Nice one, I\'ve ordered from Historex before and they\'re always very good. Didn\'t realise they did stuff like that as well

Might try the toothpaste tube idea if the stuff from Historex doesn\'t come in time

Thanks All

Yeah well I wasn\'t suggesting buying the tooth paste and throwing away the contents ;) You use the tube after you\'ve finished with it..... :]
