Ah, the memories! I was probably with Mrs Rev back then. Things were becoming quite ropey as well. It wasn\'t long after we went our own ways. That was a weird time but a good time as she was turning a bit lairy.

as for five years ago probally have a relaxed evenin with Mary Jane and havin a beer, and lookin forward to a wonderous monday at one crummy construction job or another. Since then got outta construction (for the time atleast) kicked got bored of puffin an drinkin and am much happier for it all tho it gets a tad borring every now and again with no mental lubrication.

My post was rife with sarcasm. Being British I\'m above complimenting folks for their fine achievements and must instead fall back on the noble art of talking bollocks! 5 years clean is sterling work.
5 years ago... I was 21 and had just started working as a computer games journalist I guess. That means that in all likelihood I was drunk on booze paid for by some sort of computer games PR and eating a free meal in Pizza Express. Those were happy, if slightly bleary days.
The excesses then are probably the reason that I rarely drink now to be honest. It all got a bit messy in the end.

it gets a little hazy thinking that far back, but it if i remember correctly i would have been in the studio at ssr in manchester (when it was still open) laying down ryffs for people.

Living in a crappy two bedroom apartment over top of a noisy neighbour who must have enjoyed fighting with men, as there was a different guy trying to bang in her door every weekend.
Working for the same company I am at now but for about 20K less a year slugging automotive parts by hand.
Actually getting use out of all the RPG stuff around my basement, running a game of Warhammer, D&D or Cyberpunk.
Hyped about the fact a GW store opened in my area (finally) and just getting started on an Orc And Goblin Army (which is still 1/8th painted in my basement).
Un-married and child free, but living with a Woman I adore (and would marry a few years later).
Driving a 1982 Grand Marquis boat, and visting my Grandfather in the old age home down the street and sneaking him in 6 packs of Molson Canadian.
That\'s all that comes to mind right now.

Same job, same house, same kids & wife.
Mostly the same cats. We\'ve added a dog and a few more cats since then thanks to the hurricanes.
5 years ago, I was still smoking - no longer for the last 3 years. That was not the easiest thing I\'ve every done and power to you guys that have quit worse.

5 years ago: I\'d just bought a GSXR 600, and a WRX. I had no wife, no girlfriend, and no need or want for either. I had my bike and fast car, and I rode/drove the hell out of both of them.
During rush hour one day with my best friend, we made a 71 mile trip in 40 minutes in the Subaru. 25-30mph corners were taken at 80mph. Never had so much fun.
Oh, and I\'d just started what would turn into a longer career than I wanted.

sort of the blown-in variety.
Two kittens were added to our menagere after the hurricanes. We had some trees blown down at church and were out with chain saws doing a bit of cleaning and clearing. Two homeless kittens playing underfoot - probably soon to be squashed. So I called my daughter and told her to find them a good home. She did - mine.
