Which company for Lord of the Rings

Hello all.

I'd like to paint some Lord of the Rings minis. As far as I can tell there are only two companies that make them; Mithril and Games Workshop. Are there any others?

If the quality of the sculpt is most important to me, which company would you recommend? To be honest, I am not overly impressed with the faces on the Mithril models.

I'm brand new to painting minis seriously. Am I wrong in assuming that in the end I could go with any company's minis. That is to say, for example, the model just has to look Boromir-ish. I guess Gandalf and the hobbits are the most iconic.

I'm looking here for advice and direction. Thanks.

mithril dont do the minis any more, they had the rights sometime in the 80s and that comes through in the sculpts. gws models are better by far, and they have a better collection. gws models are also based on the movies, and look just like they should, while mithrils were based on the books, and looked a bit cartoonish. GW are the ones with the rights to produce minis based on the movies, so they´re the obvious choice. the gw boromir and gandalf models are really great aswell.
