Which is the best? Ninjas, Pirates, or Vikings?

You could be right about the Chinese Vince, I don\'t remember all the facts, just that it was theorized that the Chinese landed first. Anyhow, Vikings were also known for aome pretty amazing feats, which would be akin to focusing chi in oriental-style fighting. The fact that MANY of the berserkers were able to fight AFTER sustaining MORTAL wounds and then dropping dead immediately after combat is pretty \'mystical\' if you ask me. Then again, I understand there were several incidents of WWII English fighter pilots landing their planes LONG AFTER DEATH, so I guess it\'s a cross-cultural thing (something to do with adrenil keeping a body functioning post-mortem).

Besides, Vikings were a pre-cursor to the more modern pirates, and therefore are cool because of their similarities. I do have an idea for a vinget(sp?) now, with a Viking vs. a Samuraii. I know the Vikings had some run-ins with the mongols, so it would be plausable that they made it all the way across Asia.

Vikings went pretty much anywhere that was accessible by sea or river. Sicilians are supposedly descended from Vikings, as is I think theorized about the Cossaks. However, I am pretty sure their time was before the time of the Samurai. I thought you were going to do a 3 -piece vignet with a pirate, a viking and a ninja.

@vince - You\'re right about the Sicilians, but the Cossaks I think are generally considered to be a mix of Slavic and that other popular group of marauding raiders, the Huns or Mongols.

For me ,Ninja first past the post,closely followed by Vikings and some leagues behind Pirates.If you have ever read any serious historical books on the 2 Ninnja clans they were truly awesome warriors, a classic example of ,FACT being stranger than FICTION. Vikings I have loved since a kid and I saw Kirk Douglas & those longships rowing up the fjord with that horn blowing ( still gives me goosebumps ). Pirates ,well all I can say is long live the greatest , swarvest coolest pirate ever ,JACK SPARROW !!!!!!! GOD bless .........VINCENTI lol
