White Dwarf 350-Painting faces

What is your opinion about the Painting faces article in the last White Dwarf at page 97? Do you find it any good and analytic? I think it is better than their usual paint articles. What do you thik?

I haven\'t read WD in ages....maybe I\'ll pick this one up to check it out.

Thought it was a good article. Lately they\'ve been doing some great painting articles from beginner to \'eavy metal standard.

Been collecting WD for yonks so tend to have seen a lot of similar articles but you keep getting different tips and the like from different painters or see a different approach when techniques advance or get refined.

Yer I saw it and was very surprised. Its definitely the best article they have done.

Hope there will be more like it.

And I just bort the new FW painting guide, hope its worth the money ???.....stu.....

I was very pleased with it. Now if they could shape up the rest of the mag!

I thought it was good. The master class face is a good example of how to use warm and cool colors to bring out depth in the highlights and shadows. Although I wish they would say how much they dilute their paints for highlights

I remember them saying 2:1 at least. So i guess it will vary on the figure and its status. (character/rank and file etc)
