White Dwarf Quality Control

I was told about this and was informed that if you write to GW about this stating the page, issue and telling them your name and address you get something. Can\'t remember what that is but what it seems to me is that GW are trying to play it off as a joke/ prank.

if you get the online white dwarf magazine it says:

As many of our eagle-eyed readers of WD 335 will have noticed, we have printed an Italian version of our High Elf masterclass on page 95. Now as much as we want to include \'foreign\' hobby content to the pages of our fine magazine, this is not what we meant, and we apologise for this error which occured at the printing part of the magazine\'s production. We have included a high quality PDF to enable you to complete your paint job and will endeavour to make sure this never happens again. (I didn\'t do it \'cos it was the Elves... Honest! – Grombrindal).

and they have put a pdf on there site in full english :)

Ah, so that other explanation was a ruse. :D

I did sign up to the online WD but all I ever get are blank e-mails, unless the content is purely made up of sales stuff, and not articles.

Another thing. Looking at the hobby starter set in the mag, there are three colours in the foundation pots that aren\'t in the range? Are they just normal citadel colour repackaged for this set? One is undercoat black. Could this be a brush on primer?

theres undercoat black then i think its undercoat white :) both which dry really shiny. too shiny for my liking but the white and black arnt exactly foundation paints they leave the colour showing through but when you apply it to a mini its really smooth then you just paint straight over it :D

i tried them at my local gw today :D

Wailing distance, cool. Sorry, just got images of ungainly tourists shouting at each other from various different monuments across Rome.
“Oi Vera, how d’ya say cornetto in Itai?” Shouted Bert from the Coliseum to Vera, who was sipping cappuccino in Saint Mark’s Square
Sophiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, it\'s amazing the silhouette that women’s fashion cut back in those days, there\'s no way those bras could have been comfortable...
Brussel sprouts anyone?

From what I\'ve heard they are supposed to be brush on primers not Foundation paints. I just hope that they don\'t replace all the current bottles with the white Foundation shaped bottles... the lids are gonna rip off within a couple months of use if you ask me. I have a few that are almost broken already and I never use the damn things.

Plus if you squish the pot while you pop the lid, the entire lid can fly off the jar and it won\'t go back on properly. Happened to a friend of mine, he catapulted a lid across the room and had to tape it back on... lol

it doesn\'t matter anyway just read all the other masterclasses it\'s the same start for the gold.....
They were pretty quick on the uptake though got the PDF online before the issue was in the shops....
The swatch thing maybe an hindsight but from what I gather they don\'t get much time to put the mag together let aone proof read as it is so release heavy they have to kind of hold their breath and hope the schedule don\'t change...

Oh and Jeff they have made mistakes before ..I am the proud owner of 6 letters of apology from GW and 2 of them were reprinted in the WD a couple of issues later for getting the wrong name credited the wrong models or the wrong picture....That takes some beating..In fact the last time I was in I got an email from Graham Davey and a copy in the post to check and make sure hey had it right....cheeky gits...
