White Scars freehand

Hi everyone, I'm up to painting some White Scars and I'd like to do a freehand as I have a standard bearer but I don't really know what to draw. Anyone's got ideas?

they seem to be based on mongolian imagery so google that and gothic it up! add lightning symbols and whatnot

the Mongolian flag has some interesting symbols on it
horses seem important too

Something like these - keep it simple.

start with a thin lightning bolt then add more mass to the top part as needed
