Does any one know where I can but this in the states, is it called something different here? Is this just flat peices of plastic that you can carve in to shapes that you want for like wepaons and such?
I was thinking of buying a plastic model car and then using the platic of the car body in the same way. Any other ideas would be welcome. thanks

It\'s called the same thing here in the States. The main company that makes it here is Plastruct, which can be found in Hobby Lobby (Micheal\'s does not seem to carry it).

Also, most model train shops stock it, and the larger miniature stores. Dunno where you are in the states, but War Room in Atlanta carries a fair supply of it.

I believe Plastruct is what is called ABS plastic and might be tough to glue. There is a company called Evergreen that makes ALOT of sheet, tube, strips made of styrene. Styrene is easy to work with and easy to glue.

Naw, Plastruct does have ABS and a tonne of other types of plastics they sell, but they\'ve got at least as much Styrene tubes, L and H and round and square rods, textured and flat sheets etc etc as Evergreen. They\'ve also got clear sheets, balls, semi sphere\'s, FIBRE OPTIC cables. Tonnes of great stuff.

Not that there\'s anything wrong with Evergreen, I\'m just saying...

Most stores that carry Plastruct carry Evergreen, and vice versa. They\'re usually right next to each other, display wise, and I suspect that many places consider them to be more or the less the same product (however erronous). I think the Evergreen stuff is a standard rotating display while the Plastruct is tiered boxes.
