Brian Mattys, 32 years old, New York City. I am currently a bum (in vernacular, that translates as \"Graduate Student\"), but currently looking for part time work that requires a few synapses to fire now and then. I am working on an economics degree while my lovely wife supports me I\'ve been married for 2 1/2 years.

I started painting back when I was about 13-14, but stopped after several years as life got busy, college, living abroad, etc. I picked up painting again after I returned from China because I need something to keep my hands and my imagination busy. It has also become a sort of zen exercise for me.

Hi all, I\'m John Lavery, born (4 August 1971) in Manchester, England I moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland when I was 7. I lived there until 3 years ago when I moved to Lisburn also in Northern Ireland.

I am married (13 Years) and have two children (boy & girl).

I am deputy manager in a lab carrying out DNA profiling on cows (mainly for anti-fraud purposes).

I paint to relax, if I didn\'t paint I truly believe I would go mad.

Anyway. Yurii Chinenov, 35, currently in New York, married for 15 years, 2 kids - 11 and 6. The oldest already paints as well (isn\'t it surprising).
Doing Molecular biology/biochemistry for a living and painting minis because I like it. Often wonder what I like more painting or molecular biology. I think painting is winning so far

PS. Just noticed.. out of all responses 3 people are in \"life science\" related business - aren\'t we overrepresented here

Just the one ingrowing toe nail? As I\'ve mentioned in another thread, I had 6 different toes that happened to, 4 of them at the same time, and repeated times. So much so it was decided to put a stop once and for all by burning the roots of the six offending nails. I bet you\'re glad to hear that.

Yeah I heard that. But what you don\'t realise is the level of clumsiness that I have achieved during this injury lol I won\'t go into the details, but I messed up the toe (big toe on left foot) while cutting the nail out. Then it got stepped on, and swelled up like a golfball At least mine weren\'t burnt off... :drunk:
