Who do you love?

In another thread we were talking about the limited edition Space Marine on EBAY.
He is really a good looking model. So I would like to pose the question;

What are your favorite limited edition models? Mine are:

1) the 2005 Archaon GD miniature; Very imposing and a really nice sculpt.

2) the 2006 Daemonslayer GD miniature; Another really good sculpt. I love the big
cheesy grin on the Dwarf’s face.

3) Rackham’s Limited Edition Ogre Mercenary; a nice miniature with character. He is wearing an elephant’s head.

4) Rackham’s “Volghar\" Wolfen ; Another really nice sculpt. He came exclusive with an order of the 3rd edition Confrontation Hardback.

5) Foundry’s Ebenezer Scrooge; A nice sculpt and he is just fun.

What are your favorites?

Dark Age: Yovanka..............Just something about that figure, very sensuous.
Spyglass females......Steve just hits the button for them.
Rackham: Isabeau the Silent...............Man has she got long legs.
Pegaso: Sunbringer bust (might have the name wrong there)


And those are just off the top of my head. If I had time to research them there would be a great deal more no doubt.

I\'m at work today babysitting contrators fixing our server room air-conditioning, so I\'ve got a lot of spare time as the work I\'ve got planned is almost finished and they haven\'t arrived yet (08:45).

i can\'t say i have a favourite mini as there are a stupid amount that i like.

all though, most things painted by fluffy or margo could easily fall into that category.
i\'m shure they could turn a crap mini into a competition winner.

All the Urban War orientalized sci-fi minis. (I can\'t remember the faction\'s name as I don\'t play) but those are really great sculpts. Those Void/Urban War minis have always been nice clean sculpts with alot of room for freehand.

EDIT: And all the female figs from Hasslefree. Great stuff! Especially that 54mm Mary fig.

I love that old Tyranid warrior from the Rogue Trader rulebook (circa \'88 or so). It\'s unreleased rather than limited, and it\'s not the greatest sculpt in the world, but I think it\'s one of the coolest \'nids around. Maybe this comment belongs in the \"win a lotto\" thread, but if I did win, I\'d want a fieldable squad of three of these boys. <G>

The hook horror from the Citadel ADD range is another I love, also unreleased rather than limited. Otherwise, most unreleased figures are unreleased for a very good reason (IE, they\'re crap figures).

Limiteds... hrm, the lictor from the \'nid army box is awesome. Not fair to say that, because the regular lictor is an excellent figure, too, and the limited one merely has variant arms.

Otherwise most of the current batch of limiteds don\'t really set off a \"wow\" factor for me... none seem massively better conceptually than the non-limited stuff being produced right now.

Hard to say. One of my favourites is the ratcather by wargames foundry. It\'s fairly simply and relatively rough compared to fantasy minis but nevertheless a cool mini.

I like a lot of the Privateer Press stuff. Love the Katrina Relief Vlad, and I also have to say that I\'m a fan of *ducks*


The standard MK7 space marine. I don\'t know why, it\'s just soo.... cool...

I am NOT a big fan of \'limited edition\' models....

In my opinion all it does is drive the price up, and make it hard for people to get one. I suppose if its all for charity, that is acceptable, but sometimes I feel its just a scam to make you want to pay more for a miniature.
