Who is the most \"Special\" person in your life?

There was this lad in my school when I was still in compulsory education. He was the \'uber\' nerd type who was excellent at absolutely every subject except PE. He kinda ran like mr burns...

Anyway it was the last school term and something in him clicked, our class let him read a part in a romeo and juliet book. He went seriously mad and showed us all a side of him that we had never seen before!

So there he was shouting and screaming the lines at the top of his lungs and we were all in hysterics when it happened on a very regular basis. Eventually nearing the end of the year he was turning into a Hitler Youth style child. \"Kill the jew\" was his favourite line. We had stopped laughing with him and were now all slightly scared and confused by his attitude.
By now we all knew there wasn\'t something quite right with his head, he had explosive anger and explosive hyperaction (is that a word hehe). Luckily I have moved onto a different college to the one he is at, so I can\'t tell you if he has turned even more crazy, but he is the most \'special\' person I have ever met.

I really can\'t top those stories...

An old roommate of mine:

\"Jay\" was a classic ultra-nerd. His favorite movie was \"Transformers: the movie\", which he would drone on about ENDLESSLY (seriously I wanted to %$#$ kill him). He NEVER cleaned up after himself - his mom would come over every few weeks and do it. He once let the toilet run all day because he didn\'t want to stick his hand in \"toilet water\" to unstick the valve - you\'d think an engineer would understand a damn toilet better than that... I swear I would have killed him if we\'d lived together ONE more month!

An old colleague of mine:

The post-doctoral fellow in my first lab, \"Jen\". She was the Queen Bee from hell. She terrorized two grad students out of the lab because they dared to prefer doing THEIR work instead of HERS. She hated other women unless they were utterly subservient to her - she drove another quite bright post-doc out of the lab and verbally abused several technicians when her ill-planned experiments didn\'t work. Also, she bragged incessantly about famous people she had met - like having dinner with Neil Gaiman at some con makes you special. I\'m also pretty sure she used government money to pay for several \"specimen-gathering trips\" that were really thinly-veiled vacations. Sure, specimens came back, but she also got to go to Egypt with her family, on the taxpayers\' dime. Hmm...

Hmmm lemmie see.

Cheating Ex\'s is a given.
I knew a priest that stole from the church.
Manipulative \"friends\" of some people I know.
A couple of rapists/murderers *dispise these people*

The worst had to be a guy when I was posted in sharja that raped a 2 year old though. He \"mysteriously died in custody\"...Bastard

I also hate all the lewd lecherous people I see when I go out, i\'m sick of batting them away from my friends all the time.
OH!
I did actually send one to hospital after I caught him trying to spike a friends drink...

lol I know too many assholes! I could probably go on, but I won\'t :p

His name is Justin.

Many years ago, I had some business involvement with him, and we got into a deal with another chap. Justin was not hot on delivering what he\'d promised, and this other chap wanted his money back, and eventually sued. Justin had spent it all already, and decided to go the lawyer\'s route. I told Justin that I did not want any involvement, but; he continued to include me as a defendant. Justin proceeded to run up huge lawyer bills.

He proceeded to do everything in his power to thwart any plans and designs that others had without him. His acts were indescribably childish, and caused the break-up of at least one marriage (other than his own). On false grounds, he was able to cancel the medical aid for a whole number of people, and this ended up with more lawyers chasing some of my colleagues for unpaid medical bills.

We used to have a large circle of friends, but with all of us now, his name is a swear word. No-one wants to know him anymore. The lawyers took him for everything he had, and his wife divorced him, later stating that divorcing him was the best thing she\'d ever done. He ended up living in someone\'s garage. It was now my responsibility to cover all the lawyer bills that Justin had not been screwed over a barrel for. So, I got screwed for that too, when I was hardly financially secure.

He always took friends for granted, somehow believing they owed him a favour. He\'d never thank anyone for anything, just using people, expecting them to keep giving for not even a crumb of gratitude shown. And all this was when we still had a kind of friendship going.

My anger and hatred for him burnt at the time, enough that I would lie awake at night, swearing at his name. And I took pleasure in his destitution. I couldn\'t care anymore, don\'t wish him harm, but can\'t wish him fortune either. So, for all the peoples lives he screwed, and all the lawyers that got fat because of him, Justin is the most special person I know, a cunning linguist of caliber.

Well that to Steelcult, I was wondering if you had ever taken the \"opportunity\" to see if he could get a couple, with his \"normal\" shipments.

As for \'special friend\', had a roommate in Germany that had two gods offal huge speakers, and liked ragea <sp?>. So he would come in on a Friday night about 3 am drunk and stoned, crank these things up to the max and sing. God I was so close to sticking pins in those damned things.

Nope - the feds were still watching him - besides this close to Mexico Cuban Cigars are easy to get.

There are one or two \"Special\" people who frequent my local GW store.
(Generulpoleaxe {Chris} can confirm these outline portraits)

Category: 1 Limpets
One likes to paint and talk to other people who paint, only problem is halitosis like a Sewage Farm which can strip paint of a Challenger tank at 10 paces.

Another who is a Rules/Stats lawyer and loves to hang over your shoulder while you are in a Game and tell you you\'re playing your army wrong. (This is the one my mate Pauls tiured around to and said \"You\'re a Virgin aren\'t you?\" ...The guys in his 30\'s)
Oh Yes and he constantly says Ikkle instead of Little.

Category 2: What you got there?-ers
These are two brothers who have a Soap Application shortage and constantly gather around me to see what I\'ve just bought and then describe in full detail what Army they\'ve just bought and all the points value.

I could describe the most \"Special Person\" I know at work but as her Kids often visit the forums it would make dealing with her a little more \"Difficult\".

GW stores certainly seem to attract a fair few fruitloops. Once I had occasion to go to the Stoke on Trent store and there was a guy talking into a mic on his lapel. I assumed he was undercover security and paid it no mind. I was informed after however that he was the resident loony and he wasn\'t a security guard and there was no mic

My home store in Sheffield seemed to attract them too. There was the guy who got thrown out for asking to see peoples feet. and the guy who chiseled off the 50p that was superglued to the floor outside the front door (to see if people would try and pick it up) with a HUGE pair of scissors.

None of these can hold a candle, however to Coventrys late great resident nutter Teapot (Late because he is now banned from all GWs every where, but more on that later.

This is the guy who sold his Tyranid army because it gave him nightmares. This is the guy who binned his IG army because someone stole one of his models and it made him feel \"dirty\". This is the guy who used to come in wearing a fluorescent yellow moped helmet (we were never sure if he had a moped mind you), a black fishned t-shirt and a HUGE wooden witch hunter cross on a piece of string round his neck (black fishnet top? So what? I hear you say. Not when worn by something that resembles a shaved chimp that\'s been beaten upside the head with the ugly stick).
He garnered the nick name \"Teapot\" as he used to come into the store and stand with one hand on his hip and use the other to point at random blisters on the shelves. Hence \"I\'m a little teapot\". Every time he came in he\'d ask the most inane questions, most of which we\'d already answered the past few times he\'d been in.

One day he brought back some miniatures because they were \"badly made\" upon inspection we found several puddles of metal. When questioned he explained that he\'d put them in the oven to make the paint dry faster...

His crowning achievement however was when we convinced him that there was a new Tyranid tank due out called the \"Fraggletadger\" (yes Fraggletadger). Some time later we got a call from mail order asking us to talk to him as he\'d rung them up every day for a month asking when he could order one. the most tragic thing about this though is that he\'s not the only person we got with this one

His sorry tale comes to an end with the story of his bannination. One fine morning he came into the store to proudly show off his newest creation: a thunderhawk gunship... made out of wood. Nothing wrong with that... if you like blocks of wood painted blue with a bogroll stuck to the top of them. Anyway he overheard me telling an enquiring customer that it was \"teapots thunderhawk gunship, he made it out of wood\" For reasons unknown he proceded to take massive umbrage at this and was heard to remark that if he and his paedo mate (who wasn\'t allowed within 50 feet of the store) saw me in town they would \"cripple me\" for which he was promptly banned from all GWs everywhere and I was hailed as hero of the hour.

Thus endeth the saga of Teapot :D

lol HEEEEEYY YOUUUU GUUUYYYYYYS!!!

Why didn\'t you just turn round and say something witty like \"Teapot, just...just shut up for 5 mins eh? I\'m with a customer!\" lol

I\'m suprised you havn\'t seen him in town running at you with the gunships screaming things like \"Attack speed!\" and making crazy shooty noises...yeah that\'ll show you. When that fails he might want to try baneblades... same blocks, paint em green and richard is cirtainly your mothers brother!

ooh ooh more teapot stories!!! more more! please . . .

Yeah, guy sounds like a nutter. Though I wish to learn more about the guy who actually scraped the 50p off the floor. I mean 50p is 50p but I wouldn\'t go that far.

50p is like a $1.00 in the US..actually more like a $1.05 right now.. I might have to think twice about passing that up LOL

In college we used to glue quarters to the floor in the hall in the art building with indistrial strenght adhesive. That was worth a laugh now and then.

so let me get you straight. For 4 quarters, $1.00 you would get down on hands and knees with a pair of scissors and pry the money off the floor in front of a mall full of people?

Yeah, I guess I still have a little dignity still! :D

And yes I realize the conversion is about double.

No, but I would give it a good kick.. a 50p is a pretty good sized coin..larger than a 50 cent piece.

Myself
...
No, really!
I have said some of the most stupid and idiotic sh*t one could ever imagine. I usually end up apologising, but my own trap gets me in no end of trouble and has caused me too many sleepless nights. So then being tired and irritable I end up spouting off more.:rolleyes:

As for \"others\"
hmmmm
The wacko lesbian girl who tried to pick me up by dating a male friend. I hung out with a lots of alternative - types at that time, including gays and lesbians, most displayed normal social behavior despite having, uhhhh ...different sexual tastes. Genrally they were a cool bunch and we hung out at clubs that had some of the best music too.

Anyhow, I went out for coffee with her at my husband\'s urging ( \"Ang, you need to make some friends!\"- he said:rolleyes: ) My bad feelings about her were confirmed when I met her at a coffee shop and immediately after saying \"Hi my name is, ____\", she then says \"My grandfather molested me, yknow\".
And I\'m thinking, did I really need to know that right off the bat?
Oh god, not another one...
Within a half hour lesbian-psycho girl was licking my hand and threatening to throw herself in front of a bus if I didn\'t take her home with me. I did eventually managed to shake her off and walk home... but yeeeesh!
A few years later she won some national awards for writing and became a well-known playwright. Go figure.

Aaaand
In high school I was part of the lowest tier social group. Being a D&D gamer does that to you. :D
Our cluster tended to attract the Ninjas, Fighter pilots, warlocks, and top secret teenaged undercover agents. One guy would walk around with a bloody bandage around his neck for weeks always announcing that he had been set upon by enemies of the state or some such thing.
It was ridiculously entertaining listening to those types. You hated them, but Christ were they ever gawddamn funny.
And they don\'t changed either. ten years later, my then-boss hired a 50+ year old ninja, rocket scientist genius, secret agent type type who had just started to work after jail-time (we found that out later). I got to train him, and he starts on these stories. I\'m thinking...\"WTF? Do I ALWAYS get these types???\"lol

Aaaah the memories.

It was always funny to sit at the painting table and watch people try to get the 50p and when this one guy in a blue cagoul bent down to pick it up we all had a little snigger. Then he knelt down and started trying to pull it up so we laughed a bit harder. Then he started kicking at it quite violently and although we were laughing there was an edge of nerves to it. When he produced the biggest pair of scissors I have ever seen from his rucksack we all went completely silent and stared horror stricken as he proceeded to hack it off the pavement. The manager was telling us how if he came in the shop we were all to go out through the back door when it must have come free and thankfully he wandered off. As far as I know there is still a chunk of paving slab missing from out side the shop

They never did it again.

Covs second biggest fruitloop has to be this one kid who I won\'t name. Once during a big game one of the other guys did something out of turn. In reparation the staffer running the game said that fruitloop could have a \"free hit\". Completely missing the point fruitloop turns round and lamps the poor guy. Blood everywhere lol

More Teapot stories hmmmmmm, let me see....

He used to play MtG at another shop with paedo guy, or rather Paedo guy played and teapot just sat there staring vacantly at the cards. This is until his minders told him to stop buying them because they were a waste of time (not in general just a waste of time for him)

He\'d come in and make references to the things he\'d buy when he got paid. We had to remind him that he did in fact not get paid as he was officially clinically unemployable.

A wooden Baneblade was indeed the precursor to the infamous wooden thunderhawk.

Perhaps the most disturbing thing is that apparently he got so annoyed when I blatantly ignored him that he had to \"take it out\" on his dog.... People like him should NOT be allowed to be in a position where any other living thing is dependant upon them.

I can actually show you what he looks like because, as I discovered completely by chance, if you sculpt on Quovandius the Inquisitor mutants lower jaw it is the spitting image of him. I kid you not!

Now imagine that in a fishnet top and huge wooden cross and you\'ll never sleep soundly again.
