who is the worst mini builder you have seen

this is a thread to name and shame the person who you think completely messes up mini building, from glueing themselves to things, to just botching a lovely mini.

mine would be a lad called harry down at our game club. he glued the top part of a vindicator (the cupola) to the bottom.
then he messed up a razorback so much, the staff members built him a new one, before showing him how to build a boar chariot.(yes, the tusks go into their mouths, and the chariot goes the other way up.) can anyone champion that?

even my doughter couldn\'t mess it up that bad when she was younger... just a lot of glue sometimes but that is a beginners misstake ( and she was like 6 at the time)

taking into account this guy is 12, and my minis were better when i was 10, but his parents don\'t seem intrested, a bit more support would be nice for him.

Considering the fact that I superglued myself to a brass tube that I was gluing to an Ork over the weekend and then cut the top of my foot because I dropped the knife while getting up to go look for some acetone, I\'m not going to say anyone else is worse than me.

Seriously I\'m almost always overawed by some of the sculpts and/or paintings I see on here.

I remember when we first started (my friends and I) we cut up most of the space crusade figures to make Ork freebooterz :p

Gretchins ended up with combi weapons like melta-bolter blunderbusses lol

It was very messy :D

i once superglued a piece to my tongue.(a tau warrior to be exact)

i will not go into reasons or how it happened.

actually who ever puts the bits in my stores bit bin is the worst. every mini looks like it been dosed in superglue / paint and the bits are all wrong. some look like the decided they wanted half the mini before the dosed it so its all cut up. :cussing:
oh well its a bits bin isnt it.:beer:

A long time friend and gaming buddy super glued his hand to the desk in his work area. He was building a model and holding it while the glue set. Then he changed hands.

Two guys in our gaming group were doing conversions on some Orks for his Kult of Speed. One guy gothte idea to use a lighter to slightly melt the plastic to resposition the arms and the other guy thought it was a brilliant idea. After watching them do six models like this one of the other guys says, \"Why don\'t you cut them and glue them back together with a x-acto knife.\" The look on their faces was priceless.
For the record; the guy with the lighter idea was 35 and the guy who agreed was 30. Yay Alabama!!!! :drunk:

i think uber is winning, even the guy who got super glue on his hands before stroking his dog can\'t beat that. licking a mini is the highest level that can be reached... or is it?

ok i will tell you.

so i had just done a few simple conversions and was filing down some mould lines. if anyone has ever noticed, the shavings sometime stick to the model and instead of blowing it off or dare i say actually getting up to wash it off in the sink 10 feet away, i usually just lick the entire piece and it takes all the tiny plastic dust off. having just used some zip kicker i figured my model was all good. but it wasnt. the model instantly bonded to my tongue and a burning sensation started to go all over my tongue. i started to yell \"PUCK!\" and quickly ripped it off.

for two days i had no sensation of taste in a patch of tongue that was the size of a dime.

and no i was not :drunk: i was just lazy.

and if any of you have something to say about it.....you can kiss my keister!

The worst I have heard was from my local store, some one superglued his head to the modelling table, firemen had to help him out of it if I remember right. lol

I\'ve kept this one to myself for awhile....as it was most embarrassing...

I was doing some conversion work on a GW fig---and had placed some tassels under a shoulder pad. With that, I dropped a bit of glue in to help hold the tassel....and the glue got away from me a bit, so I had a little pool.

I looked for something to swap the glue out--couldn\'t find anything at hand, and I didn\'t want it to dry.

So, I got close and blew really hard on the glue.

I glued my lips together.

....a little nail polish remover and a cue tip got me out of my predicament. But it was definitely a Homer Simpson moment.

kudos to you uber! there is no bad way to do anything just weird and uber weird

...and not that it has annything to do with modelling or minis but I once stapled my thumb in an act of refilling a stapler... it looked weird seeing that metal-thing being like 13mm down in my thumb and it didn\'t hurt, until it got out
