Becca, not fair.
Before I read the second part of your message, I was already trying to decide which one I would pick -- Episode 5 or 6 :)

Are you asking me out? How sweet, I\'ll be there to pick you up in about 13 hours!

lollollol

Actually, I\'d have to say El Cid, with sophia Lauren and Charlton Heston. I consider it the greatest movie of all time. Something like 3 hours long and EVERY last second of it a joy to watch. I first saw it when I was 13, and I think thats what turned me into a history buff. I laughed, I cried, I cheered... the other kids looked at me weird. Truly, if you can find this masterpiece anywhere, watch it. The final scene in this movie is so emotional it makes Titanic look like a sitcom.

(You know, I haven\'t watched it in awhile, I think I\'ll pop it in tonight):D

Well

Ipcress...
I\'m a great fan of Mr Caine.

If you understand french, try \"les Tontons flingueurs\" or \"les Barbouzes\". In the first one there\'s a magnificent dialogue: \" les cons, ça ose tout, c\'est même à ça qu\'on les reconnait\".

Best movie of all times? Tough one. DVD version of LOTR the two towers comes to mind.
Apart from that I\'d go for as in the top of the list:
Shindler\'s list,
Character (Dutch movie - recommended),
Star Wars,
Phantom of the opera (Becca, did you also see it on stage? Or just the movie? I\'ve seen the movie three times and am waiting for the DVD now),
Starship trooper (love the way it\'s filmed to make fun of militarism, propaganda, body culture, cold war, etc., etc. I was laughing my head off throughout the movie),
Hero (cool visuals),
The count of Monte Cristo and Cyrano de Bergerac with Dupardieu
and sixth sense. There are probably more I\'d add there but can\'t think of because I\'m not good at names.

Ok, a difficult question in return, what\'s your favourite scene in all the movies you\'ve seen? With me that is Gerard Dupardieu as Cyrano de Bergerac when he reacts to the insult by the Vicomte de Valvert. Here is a transcipt I just found:

favorite flick

My favorite recently viewed movie is called: LES RIVIERES POURPRES 2 Les Anges De L\'Apocalypse

I\'m not too sure about the English title of this (French) movie but it\'s very very stylistic and cooooool.

I\'m sure that if you get a chance to see this movie you\'ll agree.

\'Zulu\'...

closely followed by \'A Clockwork Orange\' I think. \'Empire Strikes Back\' is up there too...

\'Battle Royale\' is a pretty nifty take on Clockwork Orange / Lord of the Flies. A damn fine solution to poor behaviour in schools if you ask me:D

\'City of God\' and \'Das Experiment\' are both class too....
