Why are ratings so widely inconsistent on this website?

instead of just only rating a person if the person has a problem with his painting tell me how to fix it gently and not just heavy criticism but help out with problem either do that or tell me about some dvd that might help solve his or her problem that is all i just is helps everyone .

That's what a lot of us use the forums for. It's a lot easier to get feedback here than in the gallery.

And as to what Bailey said about dakkadakka and fish - I see it over at the Reaper forums as well. Mostly gamer oriented. Friendliest group of people you'll meet, but they tend to have different standards than we do here.
