Ummm ... Tim, except if I\'m mistaken, that\'s the new limited edition rule book. So it\'s not really out of date ;).

Why would someone shell out for a gold plated [insertartistsnamehere] Masterworks miniature? Why did I spend an extra £10 on the collectors edition of Oblivion just to get a book and a coin? Why bother with anything?

Because its cool thats what!

If it wasnt for the fact that I trash the rule books I would probably by this one myself. In fact I think my son is ordering one.

Why? Pretty much for the same reason I have most of the other rulebook edition. And not just for this game system. I\'m a collector, I\'m naturally drawn to collector\'s editions :p

i can understand the whole collectors thing. believe me, i see that and i go for my wallet. a mini or a book i would buy. but like i say, in a years\' time, you\'ll need another if you want to play. just seems silly to me

I\'m a bit meglomaic whan it comes to collectors stuff. It\'s a case of \"I\'ll have it and no one else can! Muwahahaha!\"
...Then I find out its numbered 350/100,000 or some such. What a rip!

Edit*

And why does it come with a coloured cloth headband?

I dunno, I quite fancy warhammer kamikaze head gear!

I see what you are saying. It does seem kind of silly to buy something like this and it will be useless in a year or two. Not to mention, I have yet to see people get what they expect from stuff like this. Especially if you use eBay.

Well if you are buying ANYTHING that says COLLECTORS ITEM in hopes of it retaining its value (or increasing) nine times of 10 you will be disappointed.
