no offense but I believe the main reason people use simple green over pine sol to begin with is the fact that it is non-toxic. Oven cleaner is highly toxic and I would not recommend it to people that have any sort of respitory problems, also please keep in mind with any of these items, please work where you can open windows for ventilation
I use simple green on my plastic models, I use probabily 85% simple green 15% water - pretty much just enough water to top off my container.
I let the models soak between 5-7 days (usually throughout the work week) and simply bring them to the sink when they are done and take the sink hose on them, the water blasts off any paint (please if you do this use a sink basket so the paint doesnt go directly down the drain) I notice that the glue joints usually do end up coming off, however when I strip models I go back to the basics anyway.
You can also use a cheap toothbrush to help peal the paint away in hard to reach places.
