Will stripping a mini ruin green stuff?

Hey folks!

Alrighty - so I don\'t know squat about green stuff, and what little I have messed with, hasn\'t come out to any use and then tonight ... I came across some Fairy Meat miniatures.

Found a couple that I want to mess with, but to be honest, I don\'t like the damnable wings (I know, I know .. personal preference is all). Anyhow, I green stuffed the buggers up, looks like they are going to come out alright.

Now the question is, if I soak a miniature in pinesol due to a louse paint job or, in this case, a heavy dose of primer (I wasn\'t paying attention to the miniature), will the green stuff come out or \'melt\'?

Also, I see that some of you do a \'white wash\' of miniatures to get everything even before you start a miniature. What is the ratio of water to paint that you do that in? Think I got mine too \'runny\'.

i did it several times (using a cleaner labled as \"very strong\") and it never actually destroyed the gs completely but it alters the consitency a little bit
the surface gets softier and its easy to take off and to prick on.
i wouldnt clean a highly detailed GS mini with an aggressive cleaner but if its just some filling or minor details it always worked for me but you should be careful that you dont destroy the surface with a rough toothbrush
just my 2 cents

cheers, josh
