Hi peeps

For anyone who regularly uses windows updates, please be careful with one of the latest security updates. Update KB 908531 is a security protection update. Before you get concerned, this is a legal update, but for a significant number of machines, it causes all sorts of slow downs, right click errors and errors when trying to run applications. It installs a process called Verclsid.exe which seems to cause a lot of problems, particularly if you have any HP software installed.

If you have already installed this update and want to remove it again, it can be done easily through add/remove programs, just select the tick box to show windows updates.

When did this update come out. We dont seem to have it yet.

It cam out about the 12th I think, its very recent.

I t may have now been withdrawn (I\'ve not checked) but keep a look out
