Hi,

this is my second try with Oil-Paints (the first was the shield from my Roman Legionary).

I hope the pic is good i had a bit trouble with the fresh Oil-Paint (Blue), was a bit glosy.

I have done it, with a acryl underpaint and the the oil-colors over this. The Oilpaints are Lukas Sort 1 and Rembrand.

Hope it´s not too bad....

I must rework the hair, have i seen at this moment :)

Many Greetings from Germany

Mark :)

I would give you one point more than Ogrebane just by working with oils :)
Very smooth, and nice matte finish.

Funny how ratings differ - this is a solid 9 from me. I think the detail and highlighting is *fantastic*. I especially enjoy how you managed to capture the expression in his face.

Great depth, texture and colour. I really look forward to seeing the finished piece.

Granddad!
I\'d give it a 9 as well, I\'m in the middle of a Crimean Grenadier Guard from Alma Figures, so I know what it\'a like with oils
excellent work Mark
