Like it so far you can insert the pic in the post rather than a link.

Anyway nice NMM let us know when you have progressed.

Nice your steel is fantastic. You may want to consider weathering when its done but then again I wouldnt spoil the painting youve done. Great work.

ya im not going to do anything else to the steel, this is my first try at NMM. Still more to do on him too, the belt and knee pad. after that it will be quite easy

Looks frikkin awesome, care to share your recepie in steps for me? I\'m still learning NMM and are always looking for new info :D If this is your first try, your doing a hell of a job!

You might want to get some more light on the mini, the pictures are fairly dark.

IMHO, chaos doesn\'t have to be weathered or rusty or beaten... I actually see chaos as a group that tend to their armours and weapons as they are the \"tools\" of their Gods... just like Empire or Bretonnia would tend to their equipment... Nurgle and Khorne may be the exception, but then again I like Tzeentch and Slanesh the best :D

i use vallejo\'s medium greyblue of the base coat of all my NMM, then i just work some black in for the dark parts and white for the light parts, nothing complicated. Vallejo also makes a great product called thinner, it dilutes the colour without any change to the thickness and \"cling\" the paint has, its wonderful for blending, pick it up if u can.

Artistically, it look really good, however, technically you have a problem if you consider that light is comming from above. On the axe, it seems to me that you inversed the light source on the cutting part. I hope Arkaal won\'t mind me using one of his minis as an example, but considering he\'s one of the NMM masters here, I thought it could help you :

If you look at the cutting part on his axe (upper left blade), the light spot is higher on the blade and more radiant.

These articles should help out too :

I agree with green stuff completely here... The highlights make really no sense as to where the light actually comes from. In fact, there\'s contradictory highlights that make this sort of an impossible situation. Blendings look good, but you MUST consider the direction of lighting when doing NMM. You should always consider it, but when doing NMM it\'s crucial. I don\'t mean to sound harsh, but this is really important. :)

And Anders (Ritual) is another one of the NMM masters here (IMHO). I was actually going to pick one of his minis as an example at first but I couldn\'t find one with an axe held in the same way ...

Anders, you need to paint more axes ;)!

k all the NMM silver is done, except the little dots on the cloth, ill do those after i paint the cloth. Lighting whent kinda weird so the pic on the left as a slight blue tint, ignore the tint.
