WIP blue/grey wolfen

Hi you all!

This is my first topic on CMON-forum and my first ever posted picture on a mini painted by me...

... I\'m painting my first Rackham figure and could need some feedback, also it\'s my first try at blending insted of my previous technique of inking/washing/drybrushing and it\'s my 4th mini to be really completed (Ihope...).

The picture I have taken is a bit dark in places but that is because I\'ve used it as a guide to where to put the highlights and shadows.

I\'m kind of pleased with the unusal haircolor of red/orange in contrast to the blueish grey, though it still needs to be highlighted. On the weapon, and ohter metal objects, I have not desided on if I shall stick to TMM or try out NMM.

...comments, hints, tips...

I\'m back... with new pictures, haven\'t merged them together as it takes some time for me to do it. Not so fast on photoshop yet, still learning.

Took new ones in the bright light of the winter sun, out in the snow actually... hope they can tell what i\'ve been doing so far.

so far your colors are great... nice contrast with the blue and orange. i would reccomend diluting your colors a bit. they seem a bit thick.. even if you add extra layers and it takes longer the final result will be worth it.

cheers mate.

Like the blue/orange contrast too. Neat job so far, look forward to seeing further WIP pics.

I can\'t make out much detail on the pics as I have a poorly monitor at the moment but I\'m getting the impression that you are a very \"neat painter\" which is ideal for Rackham minis and wolfen in particular. The colour choices are brave and I think you\'re working them well.

Might be worth trying some photos that aren\'t so close up - they might focus a bit better and give a better overview of the painting so far. Keep us posted.

ps Hope you like what\'s coming in your ME11 pack ;)

Hi guys and thanks for inputs...

took some new pictures, it may seem not much has happend but I\'m been working on the blues - blended more with much more diluted color - his hair and all the leather bits.

much left, the wapon and details in particular. the part that\'s letting me down is tha face... one side of the teeths dosen\'t have that much detailning as the other. hard to make up with painting.

well I\'m pretty pleased so far and the big challenge for me now is the weapon - doing silver/grey NMM for the first time... :p

a bit dark pictures - not so sunny day - but I didn\'t want to fiddle with the pictures

no i can tell the blues look much much better. do a dark brown wash about 70% brown and 30% black to the hair and you can get the orange to not look so flairing. keep up the good work.
