WIP Carnival of Chaos - Advice needed...

Hi guys. I\'ve begun painting my Carnival Of Chaos, and have almost finished the first two brethren:

2-3.jpg

The colours don\'t show too well in these pictures - The skincolours in particular.
Both models will be varnished with a dullcoat, and the bloody parts will get a coat of gloss varnish afterwards, but I need some advice regarding the guts. Should I add some more contrast to that area? Darker shading and more pure red highlights?

I almost want to say that the shading is fine, but the highlights need to be brought up more. But, if you\'re already at pure red, you\'d have to go to a more pink. Then again, maybe that\'s okay.

Another suggestion would to be to pick out the different organs in different shades. Say, make one a bit more yellow and another one push towards purple. NOT as main colors, mind you, just as a light layer over that piece.

looking great so far dude, the blood is great. in my experience (i work in a hospital so have seen a few!) the guts would look a little lighter but not too much. personally when painting guts and other gorey griblies, i paint a light red/pink, finish the rest of the model and dullcoat then give the blood areas a coat of tamiya clear red. it\'s the mutts nuts for blood. i would never go back and use anything else

as for the rest, i would shade the flesh a little more. especially the second dude\'s face and between the fingers/tentacles
