So here he is:

This is Dark Ches(h)ire from the Anima: Tactics Dark Faction Starter Box. After seriously kicking different body parts he got temporarily retired from making my fiance cry and I started to paint him.
My basic idea is giving him a really light skin colour and keep the rest really dark to achieve a strong contrast and an unnatural look.

I would deem his skin done; I have used a much wider range than I normally use too. It starts with scorched brown and ends in white; if any of you masterful painters has any ideas to increase the look I am prepared to listen to your advice ;)
Never mind his right eye btw, it\'s not really that deformed looking, I just got a little paint on a feather that is directly beside it.

His pants actually are kinda like chaps which I did not realize until I started painting them. They are only basecoated but are on their way to very dark leather. This is currently scorched brown with a little bit of black in it and I will blend it up to snakebite leather... or maybe bleached bone if I dare.
On another note, why do Manga style characters wear such useless, ridiculous clothing? Are those leather straps really necessary? Are they any use except maybe being an excuse to occasionally fall down and peek under Shinigami Ayl\'s (the other mini in the pack) clothing?

The feathers are kind of a test. I am still unsure which colour to use... the purple is OK, but not great. I thought about grey too but fear it would become to light. I\'ll try it out tomorrow. Well, today. Whatever.

So... any comments?

It\'s white Vallejo primer. I don\'t use spray that often because I can not take two and a half hours of constantly being told how stupid I am for spraying outide where it\'s cold and don\'t I dare come in (thanks again, mother).
Ahem. So, this is brush-on primer. I didn\'t bother to get an even coat as long as everything got hit ;)
Also I don\'t really like black primer. I have problems painting on it and can\'t make out details too well.

Now that was an unnecessarily bloated answer to a simple question! :D
