[WIP][FW space marine]

Hello!
I want to start my new wip here, as this project will be difficult one for me, so little brain storming somethimes will be just great thing.
First of all, all hail giganticdark, thank you for inspiration!

So, as you understand, I am working on great FW space marine. But, I really like everything about that mini except its pose, OMG it is so weird, try to stand like this!
So no way I will use this pose. So, first thing was to dismember all parts of that great mini and start working.

I have one idea, but could not share it for now) I really hope that everything will be great and I will succeed)

Thats an excellent start to your conversion looks really gritty and definately 40K ish. I do however have a nit to pick the crozius archanum's wings the tips should be up at the top shouldnt they? if i were you i would use your plasticard skilz and do scratchbuilt wings and ditch the metal ones. Look forward to seeing more progress on this.

Have to agree with Cassar, the wings don't look right to me. the bow to the wings on just the one side looks 'off' to me. I think that you could really rock out some nicer wings from plastic card.
Other then that Wow! Looking very nice!

As to wings, thanks for comments, will make crosius from plastic card this week and we ll see what is better.

For today- have totally changed fingers, they are in the wip, but i like them more.

-trying to create crosius that i like. got some different opinions from friends and other forums, made it longer and not so wide, I personally like that version more
-pose not so good for now, as I used clay for assembly, he will have similar pose to the pose on picture with little slope
-pose from front now is not really great but i think of it as result of not fixed legs








what is needed to be done and what will be done
-all parts done to the end, glue removed, etc
-work with pose
-more ornaments and bling-blng^_^
-tabard between legs, on the backpack top
-cloak
-there will be no gun, cause he is so awesome, he will just defeat anyone in close combat)

God I love this model, I turned mine into a gk years ago but got rid of it. Seeing yours makes me want to do another:).

The one thing that I'm not sure of is the fingers on the left hand. What is he doing with that hand? Pointing commanding forward, blessing someone/thing, flipping the horns? The position is meh to me. Also the finger tips, they look to 'squared' on the tips and that maybe just that you haven't finished the hand, but I'd like to see fingertips.
Random idea. In addition too purity seals and parchment whatevers, maybe a incidence censure<sp> hanging of the belt?

But Wow. It's people like you that scare me away from this model. I don't think that I could do a half way decent job on the bog standard, and here you go tricking this thing out. :smile-big:
Just keep it up!

I have to say that almost all part of the mini are WIP, exept maybe the upper body.

So as to hands and fingers, yes, I would complete them and I think will have to reposition blessing pose of left fingers. Thumb must be touching ring finger so it will be nice pose.

" incidence censure"- sorry do not know what you mean, I am not native in english) could you clarify?

I will add many purity seals, banner on the backpack top, tabard between legs and the cloak

Really awesome model! Truly great work!
Only thing I can say is that I kinda think that the Crozarius feels more axe-like than a mace-thingy. Though, that might only be the way I imagined them... :p

So, some updates

-I bought bass guitar strings, and I really love them
-bannee holder (dunno how to call it) on backpack had been rebuild, added new symbol on it. Removed previous banner and new banner is in WIP, here on photo:

-changed skull position on right shoulder pad
-fully remade left shoulder pad, added Ultramarines symbol
-I had made 4 power fists but this one is my favorite, so I decided to left it
-I had made 4 or 5 crosius arcanum things, but this crosius is the way I like, even if it not like mace
