Currently I\'m working on the Warmachine Model Goreman diWulfe.

Here is a picture on what I got done so far.

This will be my first attempt with OSL (the vials will the source obviously), however at least some great references of this model can be found on the cmon gallery. I kept the colors fairly dull and within a narrow range since I read this makes it easier for the OSL part.
Unfortunally the shading of the cloth looks even more subtle than in real on the pictures and LCD\'s that have problem with dark colors will likely make it seem all flat.

Comments and critique most welcome. Started painting miniatures some 3 month ago and can use all the advice I get.

Bear in mind that I\'m not an expert on the subject . . .

When working with a limited range of colours, I think the highlights need to be more conspicuous, for greater contrast. These images look almost like they were posted in greyscale, rather than colour.

If it weren\'t for the bronze(?) on his gasmask, I would have thought exactly that.

Here is the outcome of my OSL attempt:

I noticed the problem with the very limited color range... it looks a bit flat. However with the green light the miniature looks a bit more vivid. I might give the highlights a second try.

Looking good would\'nt the inside of the cape to the right have a slight hue of green due the source of the light??

The shading of the black looks very nice indeed!!

Looks very good, but as yetie said the inside of the cape needs some green. Also remember that the bottom of the veils are made from some metal so you don\'t get a shine through there.

I\'m afraid you\'re both right about the light flow. A few areas shouldn\'t have been lit and others should have. Admittingly I haven\'t thought about it that much since I used the following version as guideline:

I think the OSL is physically a bit off on that one too, however it looks stunning and I never noticed it.

I have some problems getting a good photo on this, anyhow here is my more or less final version. At least I learned on lot painting this one and I\'m fairly happy with the outcome.
