WIP Lost and Damned for Chaos army

Hi Guys,

Here is my first Lost and damned guard figure for my chaos army, (Slannesh)

this is a WIP so i know little things such as the base and the sword and gun are not finished,

But hey please leave comments and let me know what you think, this is just for table top standard nothing special ok so be gentle.

Just one thing...
LaTD yeah...? Why does he still have his Imperial Aquila showing??

Maybe you could show it defaced, or covered with plating or something.

Like the beret though and the painting is cool. Nice reds.

Yeah - even just painting lines through the aquila as though he had done it himself...

Also - for a Chaos cultist, he seems a bit too bland skin-wise...

If he were Nurgle I\'d say give him boils, etc

If he were Khorne, I\'d say give him scars, piercings etc

Tzeentch and Slaanesh are a bit harder though... Maybe do something with his eyes...?

@Big nasty...some more contrast on the browny clothes would be nice, instead of highlighting, maybe do shadows instead(or both) its pretty quick and easy, just thin your paint down a bunch to do shadows

I think he has a highlight already. Try to waterdown brown ink and lay a glaze of it on the brown. It will darken the brown and highlight a tad and show the light areas and shadows at the same time.

If you don\'t like it, worst case scenario is you just re-paint the brown and re-highlight...:drunk:

hmmmm mayb thats because maroon beret = para

green = infantry

black = armoured

blue = airforce \\ UN

orangeish red = MP

i was actauly thinking same thing.... (about the beret) lol

actulay a green beret is the sign of a commando i belive, i should no as i am looking to join that paras or royal marines within the next 6 months, im sorry if im wrong but this is what i have seen inpictures and been informed at college
but back on to the mini i wish my guard looked that good, nice colours although i thought slanesh would be more purple or am i mistake??? either way nice job

these are looking cool and appear is if they have just turned over to the powers of chaos.

This could work in your favour, with vetrans having bluer paleish skin and the odd mutation, and a more chaosy armour (as they are vetrans they would have turned sooner and been corrupted longer)

Agree with the imperial aquilla though, simply paint a res or black cross or chaos star over it, to dignify the guardsmen defacing their imperial past and turning to the darkside.

It was my intention to have them just turned to the darkside, this will become apparent when you see my dreadnought ill post later he he he,

And Taikisama, you are correct,

I am actually ex-army myself and i was a royal marine gunner commando and i did indeed wear a green Beret,#

@Taiki - Don\'t bother with the paras - you can always get your wings once you\'re in the commandos

Anyway - back to the mini
@OrkyDave - not sure I agree with your reasoning that veterans would turn first - I\'d reason they\'d take longer - or even stay loyal and be killed by the new guys

In fact - it might be interesting to see two opposing guard forces, from the same regiment - loyalists fighting to repress their traitorous cousins and repent for their sins - lots of scope for conversions there... Hmmm...

Front of Dread with Guard model, i dea is to have piece of guitar string from the chaos hand on powerfist going into the guards head sucking out the pleasure he he he (slannesshi)



Left arm Lazcannon, can you spot the ogre face!!!!!



Right arm, i like the power fist more like a claw !!!



Back of the lord, wings on a terminator armoured lord i here you scream!!!!



And finally the front of the lord, i scuplted the book, used about 10 pieces and gs for the rest, well i hope you like these,

I like the conversion with the dread.....very interesting story you got going there.
The lord looks ok. I think the head is a little too low. There\'s a gap from the top of his head to the top of the armor. Wings look good and great job with the book.

Awsome minis Shark, looking foawrd to seeing them painted although im not a big fan of the whole slanesh thing but hey if it looks good go 4 it but the tenticle idea is kool
also i was wondering if i could pm u and ask u about the marines, no better point of veiw then from some one\'s whos been there done that. and sorry for keeping on about this but i want to find out as much as i can before i decide which papers to sign.
